I was told that if you train all the novice skills of Jedi you get vis. Is this true? Also what are the facts about a Jedi gets vis and the best ways to avoid it.

Thanks

Best advice... read all the stickies at the top of the forum here. and no... you don't get vis from training, unless you decide to equip your saber in the middle of the starport while you do it, and attack a meatlump.

You only get vis by performing any action which uses force within 32m of non-grouped players or npcs. This includes all jedi skills as well as tuning crystals which many people forget.

The best ways to avoid getting vis are

1) only group with people you trust, that won't disband in the middle of combat and cause visibility
2) be paranoid... very very paranoid, see an unknown dot on radar... run. there are plenty of people who will see a jedi and do a drive-by to cause visibility
3) take your time. sure you can get xp fast in certain places, but those places generally also have npcs around

Or there is the other way....

Putting your mouse over the dots on the radar will tell you what will cause visibility.

Creatures show up as 'entity' and will not cause visibility

PC's and NPCS's show as as 'character' and WILL cause visibility.

Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.
