Thread: what do jedi see when you pull their mission?

option B.
Had 4 jedi in the group. We noticed the BH and started the /duel ;/endduel
3 Jedi announced: NOT ME
Last said "Crap! and ran into his house" The rest went up to the BH and he said "How do you know I was after him?"
Can you say "process of elimination"? It's possible that Jedi #4 never even tried it because he figured if the other 3 came up negative it had to be him. He may have gotten the same response and it may just be coincidence that it did happen to be him.
I'm inherently suspicious of what the Devs say, but if there's any group that has less of a clue, it's the players. Your anecdote proves nothing.

Well, yeah. You can acquire MBH pretty easily without being very good at it. After my third loss to Jedi marks I started trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. Thus, I posted this question because the last mission was over before it started. Two Jedi were hanging out when I drove up. We cleared the area of aggro nasties for a fairer fight, (very gentlemanly, btw,) and while that was happening one of them /duel -ed me to see if he was my mark. I didn't see the message from tha actual mark, but I assumed he did the same thing. This question was part of my search for everything it takes to be a"quality" MBH now that I know it take more than just the attacks available to the class.

sorry but it says MBH in your sig and you don't know this?
My primary character is a Jedi.
The first notice of a Bountyhunter stalking you is normally due to their greenish skills in hunting. (green = noob) I use the overhead map while playing and always have it zoomed all the way out to see as many characters, structures and NPCs as possible. I have the compass set to 120m.
I intentionally leave vehilces and pets out to bait BHs who may not have good exp in hunting Jedi. They're first mistake is usually attacking a vehilce while I'm in a house. (if I'm dormant then I have full force)
I can normally spot them due to their activity when closing in on my waypoint. They will focus on me and generally ride directly towards me and even change corse if I'm moving. This is bad for them if they need the element of surprise.
Immature players can spam a macro /duel;/endduel to exploit the BH mission system thus getting a system notice that they are unable to /duel the target player. I've never used this so I'm not sure of the correct spelling.
Other then this the Jedi should not know you're after them until you take your first shot. Make it count and hit them hard. If they are on planets known foir grinding be sure to stay about 500m out and track them. You should be able to notice a pattern where they will move for 1-5 mintues, stop for 5-15 mintues, etc. When they have stopped for 5minutes is when you'll want to be prepared and rush in with guns blazing since this is likely to be their height of grinding on a lair thus being weekened in force and heals.

Smart BHs don't carry a scatter, HLR or Proton Carbine. We carry a DL44xt, FWG5 or a ADL.
We also don't wear assualt armor(that's a mater of practicallity than disguise though). AND DO NOT WEAR BH ARMOR, GEES, You might as well wear a sign that says.
"Be wery wery quiwte, I'm hunting wedi, ahahahahaha"
Actually, a smart BH won't carry a DL44-XT anyway. He'll carry a Featherweight FWG5. DLs, do energy damage which get's mitigate by PSGs. Always carry a good kinetic gun as your primary anti jedi gun. since any smart jedi will be wearing a PSG.
My Nym's sluggy can outdamage my Proton carb by as much as 100 pts damage per shot after psg mitigation..... and it's faster and lower SAC.
Wookies make the best MBH / MRifles cause they can use the onlytop levelkinetic rifle in game, the bowcaster.
But in the long run, it doesn't matter anyway, cause with a macro you can go from a TK Skirt wearing TK wannabe with a VK equipped (farthest thing from a BH look) to fully armored, spiced, fooded, and weaponed killing maching in about .5 seconds and with the touch of only one button.
But I don't even do that anymore..... I just make sure I am carefull where I shuttle in to and how I approach. I can go for a dozen missions without taking my armor off, and everytime I have the element of suprise.
