Thread: New MBH skill with they paddy in mind...
Doomz wrote:What the HELL are you on about? at no point did i say we should be aloud to slice houses i just dont like how jedi come to the BOUNTY HUNTER forums just to rip other peoples ideas. And yes padawan hideing in their houses is a problem that should be sorted. You really dont understand, once your name is on terms you can just call a time-out while you grind that like 100k exp for new skill, your being hunted, be prepared, 'ooh crap dinner ready right /afk sign, now i wont be killed, oh that worked perhaps if i have /afk up while i hunt that will work too...'
You really don't have any logic skills do you? Not even the most basic?
Heck yes I can call a break whenever I want to, go afk for dinner, leave my guy up for a week in his house if I choose to. BECAUSE I PAY TO PLAY THE GAME HOW I WANT TO WHEN I WANT TO, NOT TO BE YOUR CONTENT.
Is that clear? Jedi aren't just content for BHs, it's pretty simple. If you're good you'll track them and find them when they are vulnerable and kill them, if you suck, you'll whine about camping Paddies in their houses.
Truth is, Paddies are not a challenge, and any BH who exposes themselves as almost exclusively hunting Paddies exposes themselves as someone who is 1) Not too bright which leads to 2) Not very good at PvP.
Yes! Even in the CU you can kill a full temp Jedi, YES, ever an MDefender, ESPECIALLY a full temp MDefender, it's called THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE!!!!
Full temp Defenders are some of THE MOST CARELESS JEDI OUT THERE. Why don't you use everything at your disposal? Surprise, bomb droids, cover, adv crit shot, sniper shot, if you are a CM there are more things, anything can be accomplished if it's well planned.
Too many BHs expect to ride up on someone and jump off their swoop FTW. That's not how the feared BHs got kills buddy, they were meticulous, planning, ruthless. You should and could have a network of people to pay off to find out the exact time when a Jedi will be most vulnerable. There are plenty of times when even an MDefender is out of Force because he just soloed or tanked something very difficult.
I'm tired of BHs forgetting that winning a fight is 90% all in the first strike if you are smart. Be like freakin Batman, be a detective, use your brains...If you have any.
Many of the great BHs probably don't even post on these forums, I know I never did/do. And I'm not the greatest, but jeeze, at least I know some good tactics.
This post is as much of a silly whine as some in the Jedi forums, I guess the two "arch enemies" aren't polar opposites of each other after all.
I'll agree to this if you change it so anyone can break into anyone else's house and steal all their stuff.

The DEVs could give a new skill to Master Bounty Hunters called "Slice House". This would allow only a MBH the ability to gain entry andKill a Paddy who is locked in a house. It would put an end to thispopularPadawanexploit and add some incentive for keeping the rank of MBH.
Just some thoughts...
Doomz wrote:Just to clarify because a few people seem to ahve problems grasping key aspects of the game, a BH tracking a target to have him run into a house IS a waste of resourses. A jedi dieing loseing exp is not, you all knew that you would be hunted as a jedi, if you dont like, simply dont become a jedi, not like you can come here claiming youve lost all this exp when u clearly knew it was going to happen.
Also at no point did i say i wanted bounty hunting to be easy, simply that me tracking 5 targets in a row to have them run into a house does not reflect difficulty just wasted time.
Just too add if BH's are able to kill jedi in space jedi should have an advantage in space aswell, perhaps force powers like a type of buff of sorts.
You're an idiot, you complain about your time being wasted, do you have any idea how long it takes to re-grind the xp loss that takes about 3 or 4 minutes to lose? HOURS. Pre-CU it wasn't nearly as bad, but now its damn near impossible to get to where you were within a REASONABLE amount of time. You want to talk about a waste of time? Go cry somewhere else, you get NO sympathy from me. If the jedi wants to hide in his house to avoid that, so be it. If you waste a half hour waiting around, that's YOUR CHOICE. You can drop the mission and go find another. You knew that jedi hide when BH come before you went BH and you also knew that occasionly a jedi would make your droids useless because of it. If you don't like it, then drop BH and pick another profession.

While I understand your frustration regarding Jedi in houses it is not an exploit for the Jedi to hide in his house. The only time that the word exploit can be used when a Jedi is hiding in his house is if he actually hits you back after you initiate combat. That should give the Jedi a TEF but at this time does not. This needs to be fixed.
I agree that this should be a top priority among fixes for the BH-Jedi dynamic, as a Jedi I grow tired of seeing other Jedi use exploits such as this or the bugged geometry on the trails. These Padawans are only doing a disservice to themselves in not learning how to deal effectively with Bounty Hunters
Further, I would also suggest that a timer be placed on houses where they cannot be made private for 24 hours after they are first placed. This would also serve to stop the "Bob the Builder" Jedi that have mobile homes....I also feel that mobile homes are an exploit.
Another suggestion that a fellow guildmate and fellowJedi came up with in regards to the Feral Wookiee area is to have 5-6 level 81 Elite wookies that would DB tospawn in the area. Sure some Jedi would still grind there, but not to the levels it is at now. This simple change would also return the area to the people that are doing it for content. (yeah I do grind there but I often temporarily give my spot to people who ask because they need to kill wooks for the quest)
And for fellow Jedi who think that I am a finished template trying to nerf the area, I'm not. I'm only about 1/2 done with my template XP wise. LS 0244, Def 0244, Enh 2002, Healer 2000 - so I have about 15 million XP to go to finish up.

Why not - right now you have two criminal professions (BH and Smuggler) and no crime to commit in the game. Allow break-ins, and bounties on criminals.

Let me get this straight, because Jedi's skills are made to be 1.5x more powerful, they can be hunted. But since it's different in space, and not everyone
has great reflexes, Jedi can't. That's like saying, a Jedi can have no skills and beatBH because they are made to be better, but space, which takes skill
is ruled out because of that.

Jedi are hunted because they are meant to be 1.5x stronger. You put them in space where they get none of their advantages, it is messing with the premise of an alpha-class.
Exactly. Jedi are not hunted because they are Jedi (this isn't the movie). Jedi are hunted because it's "payment," if you will, for being stronger than everyone else. If you put them in space, you remove their advantages, so in essence you are making them pay for nothing.

just to clarify my laughter....
I read post after post ont hese boards talking about BHs going toe to toe withFull template Jedi for 25+ minutes.
If the Jedi were actually so Uber powerful I would think this would not be the case... True?
Imean if something is so much more powerful that you then how are you standing up to it for so long, and as most of the posts state killing the Jedi as soon as his force bar runs out..
