You didn't have a contract on that jedi, so you didn't get paid. You don't get jack **edit** for killing him, other than bragging rights (ooh there's a worthy reward).
BH don't control the jedi population, so other than getting paid, there is NOTHING in it for you except bragging rights.
Yet, a lot of BH seem to think there is some kind of "bh vs. jedi" war on. There isn't.
So now you want something for your reward? Okay, fair enough - BUT - if you had lost the fight, what would be the reward for the jedi? Hrmm...don't see anything about that in your post...nothing about being fair or any such nonsense to clutter it up...
And should you get this "badge of leetness" just for killing some jedi you ran across out in the boonies? Or should you ONLY get it if you actually got and completed a contract?
So no, unless you have a contract, there is jack **edit** for a reward for you - and this IS how it should be.

I am a TKA Medic who might as well be a Bounty Hunter. I left this game for about 3 months in disgust at the lack of anything to do except cash farm. I just recently returned to find some significant improvements.
1. the severe lack of anyone around which helped my frame rate
2. player cities which are especially cool when no one stocks their vendors
3. the addition of vehicles which is the only real improvement so KUDOS
4. a large supply of jedi....which wasmy only entertainment
Since my return I have made it my personal mission to tailor my character to the singular goal of killing jedi but with recent events of getting banned from the game by killing one I am starting to question why I even try. I might as well go an become an afk master entertainer or spend the end of my last month tumbling for tips in a cantina. It wouldn't be so bad if jedi would show up on the terminals so I could team up with a BH and go have some fun thinning the population but alas with thecomming publish 8 I think I should quit before I embarass myself by playing this game. I just had such great hopes which I am sure is what keeps the majority of the veterans around. I call myself a veteran because I have been playing since launch.
I am sure this post will be either edited, deleted, or locked so have fun guys.
I have been mentioning how weppswas banned from the forumsa while back and now with this jedi killing ban I feel this game and communityresemble a totalitarian dictatorship. The people are just oppressed and/or silenced until either everyone caves or defects. I mean seriously we pay too much per month to be treated this way. We just keep hopingI guess that someone will wise up. I mean the massive drop in players aloneshould scare someone important.
To allthis I say:
FREEDOM
freedom to play
since a game after all is supposed to be fun!

Biggest problem this game has is lack of communication between the devs and players,because of this players have lost faith in the dev team,also the way SOE are treating its customers is very bad,no online game company is bigger than it player base.After all their are many more online game we can play .

I don't know how to edit, so I'll post again. I've killed jedi before because they were TEF'd for using their lightsabers. Are we not allowed to do this ?!

I agree, the devs don't pay attention to us much and neither do we. That isn't right for u gettin banned for killing a jedi

I am a noob to the BH profession, at about what lvl do you start getting jedi missions and what is the payoff for the lowest lvl

Once you have Investigation 3, you can then accept jedi missions from the terminals, you get paid 150k credits, and 3k Investigation XP for completing your mission.

But, don't even think about trying these missions until you get most if not all of your combat skills.

The missions are 20-22k missions with exception to jedi missions. Jedi are 150k. You get roughly 450 invest xp for non jedi and 3000 invest xp for jedi missions. Good luck. Lvl wepons first befor trying to take on any jedi

I was planning to do the llc tree, carbine tree, pistols tree, and carbineer 0-4-0-3 before grinding out investigation

I kinda like the idea of You BH's getting a reward if you kill us Jedi...so long as you also get some consequences for failing a Bounty Mission. I think there has to be a balance to it. Your a bounty hunter, if you just happen to find a Jedi who has a tef and kill him, you shouldn't get anything. He wasn't your bounty, just someone you killed.
But dont you already get something? Dont you get an increased in your investigation exp for a Jedi mark rather than a normal one?
Or where you looking for some type of reward for killing any Jedi? Because here again, we go back to what i said in the first paragraph. If some Jedi just ran across your path with a tef and you took them out...so what! As i said already, your a "BOUNTY HUNTER" you didn't kill a bounty.
I do believe that if you take a mission, against a "Jedi", and go fight him and get deathblown you should also loose something. You failed your mission.
