Thread: Duel exploit...

I don't agree or disagree that it's an exploit. Speaking from both a jedi, and a BH's point of view, there is no advantage gained. If you are in the area long enough for the jedi to see you and /duel;/end, you've already lost the element of surpise. When I'm on my jedi, I assume that everyone cl70+ is a potential BH that could have my mission. If a jedi finds out that you don't have his mission, he just doesn't have to keep an eye on you until you leave and come back. If he does find out you have his mission, he already assumed you did anyways.
Assuming and knowing is two different things. What if I just want to go and observe my mark and comeback a day or two later for the kill?
If he doesnt know I have his mission... he might not write down my name... thus giving me an advantage the next time we meet...
If he knows it... he DEFINITELY will write my name down...
The element of surprise is lost via the /duel exploit... nothing else...

It is a stupid exploit, I have never kept a mark for more than 5 hours I don't think. I also don't have ppl /dueling me. Happend once in MO - and he must have been hand typing in the command or something b/c I got to accept and db him. So far it has been no big deal for me. Exploit - yes.
so bh'ers why don't you start reporting people and try to push the problem along?
Looks like it's O'etam shooting his mouth off again. Nothing new there. For those of you not on our server, Sunrunner.... Don't let this moron fool you. He never exclusively bagged knights like he claims. He single-handedly screwed up every hunt we ever tried to team up on. And now that he's a jedi... "slaying Bh's by the masses" is simply laughable. He takes out a nooblet bh or two and all of the sudden he's the big bad BH slayer. Just like when he was a bH... He takes out a 52k paddy and all of a sudden he's the big bad Knight killer on campus. Why...just the other day actually... I was lucky enough to finally get his mission when he wasnt hidingon Kashyyk. He's a 226k MLS Jedi. And I dropped him in about 7 shots. So don't buy into his hype bh community. He's all sizzle and no steak. People that have to brag about themselves usually do so because no one else will.

Wow.... all I can say that is: "O'team, J00 G0T PWND N00BLET!"
Seriously though, you heard it straight from a guy that knows him on Sunrunner. Thanks for sharing Kaviac!
Agree 100% with that statement. "Jedi paranoia" is higher than I've ever seen it. I've seen Jedi bolt and cloak from hunting groups at the sight of any dot on the radar, regardless of the players CL, faction, etc. Funny when they run from a CL 30 though. Poor sap is out looking for a mission or some such, and this CL 80 almost full template goes running for the hills...

Wether you observe and comeback, observe and attack, or observe and drop the mission, it makes no difference. Everyone in the area (non-jedi) is an assumed BH. For the purposes of being prepared for a fight, assuming and knowing are the exact same thing. If I "know" you have my mission, or I "think" you have my mission, it's all the same.If you're in the area, I'm ready for you to attack, it's just a given. There's no need to write someone's name down for being a "suspected" BH. Everyone is a suspected BH.
