Can't grind "old school" anymore. There are other ways to get exp though...

Wrong.
It's harassment if the BH keeps showing up demanding money. If you remember far enough it was us who started offering the payouts instead of them.
It's been said that paying off a BH is similar to a normal trade, and the trade rules apply. If you pay him off, then get killed, you can file harassment and he will be punished. (was warned with my bh alt after accidently killing one that aid me off)
Reason being both of you are agreeing to it. Noone is forcing us to pay them, it's either that or pay with the xp loss.

Hi there, i like nothing more than killing young jedi in training, that is why i respeced to BH, i enjoy it even more when i dont have to exspend food or stimms or spice. so just pay me in advance, and hope that im not such a scoundrel as to kill you anyway. and make twice the creds!

h...andBTW, just so you know,I never break a contract... I don't kill the paddies who honor there end of the deal. In fact Iwill not takethe paddies mission again for at least 30 days after payment ( I don't have to wait ). Try to remember, it's nothing personal...ok
okay enough stupid non-helpfuls posts....
your main problem is frankly you are a starting out jedi, and you are holdign onto your old skills. this is inflations your cl to the point that if you try to get jedi xps with a one block of jedi novice there is nothing you can kill in a reasonable time.
you have two options honestly:
a. get rotw, get your buddies to team up with you and grind up ojn the kashyyyk where nost of the casual bounty hunters will leave you alone. trust me groupign will lead to the terminals most of the time. mind you serious hardcore bounty hunters are not put off by the lack of trackign droids, they relish it.
b. drop most of your non jedi combat skills to lower yoru cl to the ranger where you can solo a single mob in a reasonable ammount of time and with a reasonable ammount of force used (reasonable is in the eye of the player), when you are fighting with your saber DON NOT use bacta, as it will siphon off your jedi xps to medic/doctor/cm xps. use in stead, stims and or your jedi healing (if you have it). this is a very very very slow method, and it will still not for sure keep you off the terminals but it will lessen it.
remember you will gen vis from ANY npc, player or if you loot it and get credits that are within 34m (or is it 32? error to 34m).
new born padawan in the cu truely have the shaft compared to any other time jedi have been arround, regradless of what you might hear, if you are intent on becomign a full jedi knight then have patience, grit and a will of steel.

to the jedi get at least healer 2xxx and enh 2xxx then you will survive against a bh until you are ebtter prepared to kill one.
