How about... if jedi lose xp.... Bh's lose 4x the xp of that mission and... if they go blow the box requirement they lose that box (Starting from Investigation and moving its way to the right)

That makes no sense. Jedi are the "special" Alpha Class, and need a death penalty relating to that. Bounty Hunters are one of the 32 regular professions and extending that penalty to them would not be a viable solution to any BH/Jedi problems.

yeah, that would be pretty hard once all but 3 BH per server give up and start grinding to jedi or quit if crap like that went in.

EDIT-- which is how jedi are supposed to be, ohh sweet irony

All i got to say is lame, on the jedis part and on his friends part. i have been attacked in my city, outside my own house on numerous occasions lol and as long as they dont talk smack i dont say anything to them except good job. While inside iam like great another freakn 340k down the hole lol. Iam part of the milita of my city and it has been brought up numerous times about banning bounty hunters for fighting in the city ( our city is a no pvp rule city) but each time i have said and still say that bounty hunters shouldonly be banned for griefing or trash talk, taking a mission on us is part of thier trade. It takes the whole militias vote in order to ban someonein our city. Our only rules are if a bh is repeatedly taking a citizens bounties like every day or trashtalk. So far we havent had to ban anyone and i hope we never do. Sorry to hear about your cituation and i hope you reported them for harrasmant.

Actually the mission was for 110k...I wasn't looking for a 70k mission for the same reason you mentioned. Being a level 73 I know there isn't any possible way I can go against a level 80 jedi...I was doubting very much that I would walk away from said level 79 jedi, but I figured it was worth a shot since I was there anyway.I also have never hunted a jedi grouped, cause to be honest I can't stand grouping (I'm gonna have to get used to that considering the SWG changes of late). And this was also on my character on Kauri, not Tempest....my Tempest character doesn't hunt jedi anymore, or at least not in a looong time.

Well 110K targets is even easier than an 70K mission - at 110K the jedi has spent half of his skillpoints on jedi skills and the rest in various skills - he is in between - lost his master skill from rifles or whatever he had and not yet any real kewl jediskills.

Go for 170K or above - jedis of 170K or above who whine about the kill ... well /addignore

before healing nerf i went after this 90k jedi...fooker was MDef and some healing, couldnt kill em at all with a full temp BH with a good rifle and bomb bot. So no, jedi can still be tough at low levels for a lowbie BH.

"It's part of life as a BH?".....Oh, the irony. If you really have to ban me from your city when I'm hunting a jedi 1 vs 1 and I'm a level 73 and he's a level 79....btw, that means he's a full 6 levels higher than me, not to mention he's a jedi...then by all means, do what you must but my feeling on this is that it's a cheap reason to get banned from a city. I'm not going into your city and grieving people or destroying anything but you'll ban me cause you don't like a the Jedi/BH game mechanic and I get to pay. The biggest problem with banning people from cities is that it's being used in this way, not getting rid of troublemakers like it was intended....there should be a group of militia that actually vote on who they ban and the reasons why instead of one person who can ban someone for as silly of a reason that they're doing their job. Would you ban a jedi for grinding in your city? Then why would you ban a BH for grinding investigation in your city?

your point is well put. i am wondering also about the verious jedi that have friendly bounty hunters and or paying BHs to hold there mission while they grind...I for one do not like that and i am glad that they will loose the mission in three days. haha...this from someone that wants to go jedi...the irony yet again.

i am wondering if, now don't flame me for this it is just an idea, what if a bounty hunter fails to kill the jedi the BH takes xp loss. jedi take xp loss for dying by a BH?

i will try to be one of the few honorable jedi. all i ask is when a BH kills me...don't talk the smack...now that gets childish.

I also agree that the behavior was out of line (and bordered on player harassment). But any BH who goes into a player city to kill a Jedi who is a member of that city's guild should probably expect a cityban.

If you don't want to get citybanned, wait until your mark is outside the city limits.

Yes it goes with the territory. Plain and simple, if you go to a player city and attempt to kill one of their citizens, whether you have a reasonable chance of beating the jedi or not you can expect to be banned. As I stated in an above post their behavior was unacceptable, but dont expect the Jedi's friends to welcome you to their city as you try to kill their friend.

Big Deal you got banned you now have to bike out.....do you really care that you were banned? I dont PvP that often but I am banned from about 5-6 player cities...doesnt bother me one bit, thats what swoops are for.
