Well, keep in mind it doesn't drain your force as much as you move up the ranks(whenever they decide to fix the FRS system) and it can save you if you are in a sticky situation in pve or if you are getting ganked by 3 or more people. It sucks that it drains your force, but its best to have no force than no life. So, if you are gettting "jumped" by a couple of people, that extra armor might by you some time to turn force run on and get the dickens out of dodge.


The more force manipulation you have, the less the force cost on healing/enhance/powers specials as well.

Yes, it does.



I believe the force cost is around 33% of the damage blocked for FA2.


So if you are hit for 1000, you block 450, and would take 149 (approx) force.


I think the force cost is higher for FA1.

Its a straight damage reduction against physical attacks...I believe it's 25% at lvl 1, 45% at lvl 2, you can check it in the FAQ

force armorprotects you against all dmg types and force shield protects you against force attacks

Its really good against one on one fights especially those with high Damage Pikes and 2 handed weapons. But when you get 2 on one. Its hard to keep your force up. But I think worth having.

how well does this work in large group fights? Does it drain your force too fast to be useful?

It depends on if you taking all the hits, Everytime you get hit, your force bar drains some more.

If you have more than one BH or melee stacker on you turn that FA off. It will drain your force too much and you will die anyway.

Its awesome against TKs . Not to mention those with high end weapons or speed capped swordsmen (swordsmen OWN your force pool when using FA2 or even 1). When a 1200 damage pike is hitting you, run.
