Thread: Time to Fix the Kashyyyk Exploit
Too bad you aren't on Radiant. I sell probots for 3k a crate.

What part of don't post if you are going toargue withme did you not understand! First of all, i am far from a respec bounty hunter, 2 years in the trade, and ive enduredevery single one ofthe ridiculas problems that we face as BH. Second, exploit was the wrong choice of word, i admit, "annoyance" would have been the proper choice of word. After all, if I were a jedi i would be there too. But exploit or not, I am still wasting 10k for a single crate of probot droids, and 4 of the 5 uses relay a jedi on that blasted planet! I did NOT post to trade foolish remarks with eachother's point of view, soplease spare me.
I think using LoS exploits is lame, and shows what type of character you truely are. People who cheat at games, usually cheat at all games they play.
Droids don't work on Kash... Kinda stupid, but one can live with that. Running all over, hunting a mark, to have him run somewhere where he cannot be attacked becuase of a game fualt, is complete B.S.
LoS exploits should be fixed immediatley.
The LoS bugs, droids not working and the holes in the geometry ( anyone else fall through the floor in webweaver?) are all part of the same problem. Last night I created a particular waypoint whileon the Ryaat trail. I looked on my map and it was about 3km from where I was, but my onscreen wp monitor was pointing the completely opposite direction. When I got to the wp on my map (not in actuality as it wasn't really there)my onscreen wp monitor waspointed the opposite direction and said the wp was 3km away....
All of these things are the same problem. An unfinished product (as usualwhen it comes to SWG). RotW was rushed out and unfinished. While I have found many aspects of itvery enjoyable and certainly a step in the right direction for the game itself, the bugs, and theinordinent amount of time it takes the developers to squash them all and fix things, ruinfar too many aspects of this game.
In this case theBH Jedi mission system. "Due to the tremendous amount of lifeforms on Kashyyyk your target cannot be found" should read "Due to SoE/LucasArts greed, we are rushing ROTW out the door unfinished and disabling your droids on this planet until we fix it or...don't and say we did....just like it has always been."
All that being said, I've still managed to track down the Jedi I have been hunting on Kashyyyk. There are only a few places you need to look really.

Bounty Hunting is supposed to be profitable, spending hours on a 150k paycheck isn't.
If you can't make a profit, maybe you're just not a very good Bounty Hunter? What "hunting" is involved in following the waypoint your droid gives you?
It's no different than using a hunting dog in real life.
What's that? You've never hunted in real life? Then what are you doing pontificating to someone else about hunting?

Back in the day when I was a BH, we were made of stronger stuff. Every Jedi knew how to screw up droids so they appeared offline, even though they were online. I had a small spynet of my own going. A Jedi-hunting team, if you will. "Spread out, hit all the major cities, if you find them, report back to me." I had Jedi hunts that took several hours of simply looking for the target before I actually found them... My how the BH name has been tarnished...
Bounty Hunting is supposed to be profitable, spending hours on a 150k paycheck isn't. The only reason why I can make a living now is because Jedi are too lazy to actually play their toons and instead run macros all night in the same spot. Heaven help me if I was thrust back into the dark ages of the login/logout exploit.
When droids were broke before did you just shut up and take it? Or did you spend your spare hours on the forums saying how stupid it was that 1/4 of your profession was made useless? When your droids reported back "Your target is not online" did you rejoice at the thought that "gee whiz, now I get to go prove myself!" or did you say "dammit, well, guess I might as well do this for the next 4 hours"?
We're going through the exact same thing now, our profession is being broken; the only difference is that half of us are content to turning a blind eye and muttering "respec BHs..." under our breath. If we keep passive now, how long do you think that droids are disabled completely once again? Why the hell did we work so hard in the past for our droids if now, months later, we're willing to roll over and give up everything?
Hell, why am I even wasting my breath on a "True BH" such as yourself anyhow? Any loyalty you once had for this profession died the day you dropped your Master's box. Maybe you should just go back to being retired and leave the Bounty Hunter forums for the Bounty Hunters?

Im sick and tired of wasting probots and my valuable time locating jedi on the world of Kashyyyk. I dont care what is done, just dont waste anymore of my time. TIme to incorperate normal player bounties, which you gain visibility for causing too much trouble with any of the major factions. Such would be rebel, imperial, jabba, lady valarian, nym, blacksun, and townspeople would make sense. Its alot to ask for,I know, just do something about this, 7/10 jedi are taking advantage of it's protection and wasting my droids and time. And please... if you think about posting to start an arguement with me over this issue... dont waste your breathe.
I share your feelings.
