You die or fight, you lose armor condition.

We die, we lose xp.

We win, we get nothing.

You win, you get paid.

You gotta lose SOMETHING. Nothing's completely free or without penalty.

I don't run from bounty hunters myself, but there were a couple times I was bored to tears and was tempted to somehow get away. I'm MDef/MLS with no forcerun nor cloak. There's simply nothing in it for us to stay and fight. It's just boring as hell.

No it isn't.

It's about the same before and now. I could get 300-500k xp in a 2.5 hour buff session pre-CU. Warren and Geo cave grinders can get much more.

why do some many jedi post right off the bat in these threads on the BH boards ??

How's this for a fix? TheOP thinks that they should get paid if a Jedi dies without a DB. If this is an issue then fine. If you think you should be paid for a jedi mark that runs into lava, I'll agree when the jedi get to keep their exp from a BH death.

That's why i said in my post, they need to put the rule back in where if you die, and you clone, you loose 200k of exp. Simple as that. Would stop Jedi running into lava because the doc can't get to them to rez them, and after two lava deaths, they have lost as much exp as if they had just died to the BH in the first place.

But in no way should a BH get anything if a Jedi jumps into the lava. As i said, you need proof of death, and without that head you will not be able to prove it was your mark.(bringing hair/skin samples won't help as you can take that while the target is still alive)

Yes, I am a Jedi, and I am a BH, and i can tell you right now my opinion on what BH should and shouldn't get is no different then what it was before i became a jedi(I was a BH back then too). Most of the time I favor the BH, for example, if BH enter's fight with jedi, jedi's friend get's db through /duel, BH should still get reward as the corpse is sitting there waiting for it's head to be chopped off. Same rule for PvP, if BH attacks jedi, even if he doesn't get the DB he should get paid as he can recover the head, i don't know, make it a /recover skill that MBH get to take the Jedi's head, should automatically get it if you perform the DB, but if you don't, first BH with the mission to /recover get's the reward(that is if another BH didn't get the DB)

As i said, re-instate penalties for cloning(especially on mustafar, but on all other planets too) and you'll start seeing jedi being a heck of a lot more carefull.(also, this is another topic, but Master healers should get a rez other as well, they still can't rez otehr when the jedi is in teh lava.)

Then all they would have to do is disable the ability to drag players out of lava, and then it won't be exploited.

lol, i doubt they exist in Star Wars, but even so, Holographic recordings can be faked, the Head of the target, with it's DNA, is a heck of a lot harder and more expensive to fake, which is why it is usually the recomended choice.

hmm...if i can get a "head of (name)" droppable item that has to be traded in for the money whenever i personally db the jedi i'll stop whining about anything for a week.

lol, unfortunatly, i dont' think SOE will give us severed heads, especially droppable ones as this is a game that plays over the internet, and younger kids do play.
