I just achieved novice bounty hunter. Im a master marksman, pistoleer 2/1/0/0, novice creature handler also. I'm combat level 26. Why is it when I get bounty hunter missions that list difficulty as 23, the target is anywhere from 32 to 57? Am I just too low to work on bounty hunting yet?

Im not positive but I think the difficulty rating for marks is not the same as regular combat levels. Thats why Jedi always have diff rating of 75 on the terms. Someone please correct me if Im wrong, been a while since Ive hunted.

Hey new bounty hunter, if ya want some advice on a good pistol template, let me suggest Smuggler 4000, Pistoleer 0004, commando 4000, and marksman 0404. I also have some force melee def, and some force accuracy, but I know that can be hard to do with a new char (what with the glowy system and the village).

Last ditch is a great shot, in pvp or in pve and with all the melee and ranged def in the 4000 commando you cant go wrong!

Hello everyone, I'm new to BH and I have a few questions:

Can anyone explain to me what duelist stance is all about, how does it work, what advantages/disadvantages are there?

Is the High Cap Scatter Pistol any good or should I use rifles all the time?

Which specials are very good to use with bh when I have mbh/mrm?

Thanks

Hello there. Im a PvE Bounty Hunter for now so my advice is on how to fight the NPCs. Im no more hunting Jedi because of4 reasons:

-Payout is ridicolous

-Jedi Sabers are more ridicolous

-Jedi dont drop CAs worth the fight

-I cant see the name of the jedi i am hunting so i cant grief him...no fun

NOw, your questions....

1. Duelist stance gives you 250pts of defense. It costs mind/action and can be macroed (but veryaction intensive). I use it when i fight Melee NPCs.

2. I dont know about the High Cap Scatter. I'm Master Rilfes and use a Krayt t21 DMG sliced (612-1337) and 580+ DPS. As soon as i get capped in ranged speed and accuracy i maby should be able to double the DPS.

3. Ok, my npc tactics:

*Starting Move*

/prone /aim /snipershot /keepupshot. I usually eat a Crispic before this, or even some Deuterium Pyro.

*Now im standing*

Use ranged shot as standard attack.

Confusion shot+ Underhand shot to KD/dizzy

Torso Shot for small DOT

Critical Shot at will.

Blind shot can be useful.

Startle shot and me stop attacking to help me in critical situations (gives me tume to heal if im in big need)

Knee-Cap shot against melee fighters to snare them.

Like the above poster said duelist adds to your defense. Scatters are crap,a FW-FWG5 is better in my opinion. Being a master rifleman though you should definatly use a rifle. Trando rifles are great as they have a high minimum damage. And as far as moves go Snipper shot is a good opener and after that Critical shot is your next damaging. I personally Sniper/ Crit/ Torso/ Crit/ Head. Head shot will do a little more damage than Torso but it's good to keep them bleeding so through Torso in as needed.
