Hate to say it, but don't hold your breath on that one... Check out Tiggs's post in the Jedi forum, it looks like either we get a massive crystal/pearl buff (unlikely), or Premium and Flawless Pearls/Crystals won't see the light of day for a while.
Personally, I don't see why they can't just modify the loot table and make a whole new "pearl" and "crystal" entry to avoid the current problems with high-level crystal/pearl drops.
