You have to use /stand (I think /kneel works too) Moving and clicking your mouse WILL NOT WORK.

Rose, that's how Feign Death is *supposed* to work. If you are hit for damage (or even missed sometimes) you will see up to 100 seconds on the ol' incap meter. Once the incap meter is down to 0, it *stays* at 0 until you /stand up. The command to end Feign Death is always /stand. You can tell you are still in FD mode by the little guy with his tongue sticking out on your HAM bar. That icon appears when you "set" FD even if you are still fighting and haven't been hit yet,and let's you know that you are safe. A note of caution: Never, ever /stand if you have more than 0 time left on the incap meter You will immediately go incap again for *real* and lose your immunity from DB!

Sounds like Feign Death worked perfectly that time, u just didn't know it did. When the FAKE incap counter reaches 0, u start to regenerate, if you STAND before that counter reaches 0 u get REALLY incapped, but after it reaches 0 u regenerate regularly. THE FIRST TIME when I tried FD I got into the samesituation as you Rose but the I thought to myself, maybe this FD thing works like FD in EeverQuest... I was a lvl 61 Monk in EQ so I've been doing FD a lot *monks in that game have FD too* so I tried the same way to get up, using /STAND and voila!!! FD is the BEST skill a smuggler have period. I became a smuggler at all for this skill alone, but other skills are nice too so trying to master smuggler now:-)

Crap like that is NOT and exploit. It is shoddy programing and design.

I was master marksman/master rifleman/master ch.. but wanted to add a bit more 1-on-1 pvp ability so i went rifleman/quickdraw/rogue/ch (3/2/0/0).. at 3/2/0/0 ch you can use the best ch pet left in game after all the nerfs (a graul mauler). I didn't really see the need for medic skills as I just buy pet stims. I'd like to be able to drop CH altogether and pick up something else (I'd master pistoleer, and grabsome teras kasi), but since they haven't fixed the mobs BAFing while undercover or using conceal shot thing yet you really need a good pet to be an effective rifleman in high end pve.

By definition, an exploit is taking advantage of shoddy programming or design for an unintended advantage.

An exploit is not taking advantage of shoddy design... that's like saying using strafeshot2 to kill 7 guys at onceis an exploit, since realistically a rifle can't accomplish that. It's shoddy design, but it's what the devs intended.

You also have to be extremely lucky for a Krayt not to combo db and incap you in one hit when you try to fd... alot of people don't realize you have to take a hit to FD in this game. When you get up the mob will also be aggro on you (not come after you, but it's the sort of aggro you still have from getting up from a real incap).. so the second you fire another shot at them after getting up they will be aggro and come back to kill you even if you go prone. Krayt's also have so much hp thatyou'd have to be pretty damnn lucky to kill them in 2 bleeds. So to kill a Krayt with FD requires you to be extremely.. extremely lucky. You have to avoid getting killed straight out from taking a hit, and you have to get max bleed damage out there. So it would not be something that someone could do repeatedly on a krayt dragon. You could probably do it about 1/5 times on a juvenile krayt with rifle bleeds.. but as a master rifleman i can kill those with ease anyhow.

I can't say i agree with all that because i've known smugs who kill kryats with bleed/FD. Master Smug, master WS as a matter of fact, picking up more tissues for his guns. He does it all day. As to how he goes about it, i dunno, maybe he's got a full suit of sliced chitin. If you were smug/rifle then you could kill a Canyon kryat in 2 bleeds, Juvenille in 1 bleed with a few headshots. With a sliced/Powered T21 i can bleed 2k to 2.5k, that typically leaves them with 8k mind. I'm reb so i don't have an AT, killing kryats is kinda tough still, i always need a medic partner at the very least. But if you got an AT or 3, take advantage of it, this should be as easy as slaying gnorts.
