armor piercing: medium is denoted ap2
nothing is ap0, light is ap1... you get the idea.

Just curious, what were the extras on that carb?(all my carbs are secondhand so I have no idea what went into them).
From the looks of it, ~40 krayt tissue and an Imp stock?
Actually, I am not sure. The WS who made it was banned not too long ago

the extras on it were the worst tissue, +30 dmg and -.345 speed, an imperial stock, and an accuracy scope with a 28% damage slice.
I also have an Elite carbine for PvP. Mainly for ranged mitigation 3.
its 201-435, ap1,2.5 speed, 32% wound, (averaged) acc. -50 +50 -50 , and about 35-43-34 HAM (non-powered up)
several other lasers with that same damage, 119-526 (powered up) but with the normal 4.0 speed
but like i said it wasnt the damage it was supposedly the speed that carbs drool over hehe

That's a pretty nice laser. I was prepared to pay a guildie 200k for a similar one (2.6, 83-350, roughly).
The absolute best, without loot, stocked and scoped laser carb on tarq is 4.0, 83-315 (maybe a point or two higher with much rarer resources), post slice is 4.0 115-405 or 3.0 83-315 with a good slice.

i was just asking since i got it for 20k since i supplied all the extras, but thx for the appraisal I'm a BH carb/master carbineer
and speed isn't all taht important to me since i hit the cap regardless of the speed.
but i have several like this and i have a seen a laser carb at 4.0 at 236-632 non powered up i think with a powerup it hits well over 900 max.
but like i said speed is the key to non BH carbs so thanks for appraisal.

That min damage is waaaay insane...either its dropped and sliced or double sliced...cause thats near impossible on a non powered up gun.

Question, I have a Krayt Carbine under 25%, should I have a weap smith try to fix it, or can I just craft a repair tool and do it myself?

Am I the only one that ever plays unbuffed? I've recently found it a challenge to maintain a +95 speed rate of fire while spamming crippleshot as a Carbineer/BH, but I also finally find mself feeling like I'm being a large contribution to the offensive efforts in which I'm involved. Granted I need someone to help me with defense since even buffed a Master Rifleman can erase 20,000 credits worth of buffs ((all 9 stats))from 65 meters in like 3 shots. And then after that I'm on food, as much as I can contain with Kiwik and Accarragm.
Hey since spices make you throw up, shouldn't that empty your stomach and give you room for food again? I suppose it should also take away any bonuses you had from previous food, but that sounds realistic to me.

There's nothing official from the devs, but the weaponsmiths seem to notice an improvement over
non-ws's. For a krayt, why take the risk? Find a master ws, ask him to put on any +repair clothing he has, (some ws's even go stand near their perfect crafting station in case it makes a difference), and use the 100 rating tools. Yeah, it's mostly superstition, but these tests are difficult to do.
And NEVER let it get to the point where the damage/speed deteriorates. I think it's 50%. Those stats don't return to their original values after repair (like armor would).

And just to add, if it's not something you need to use, keep it and wait until the next patch. Weapon repair got really ganked since publish 7 (much more failures), and the dev's have refused to tell us if it's a bug or intentional.

I see, thank you. Its strange, its under 25% but the stats are still the same, I really don't want to break ittrying to fix it, its the best gun I ever had, 1.1 speed, 296 max dam, under 30 on all ham costs,I guess I'll wait for the patch....ty
