I would be more sympathetic to a BH's complaint about a friend DBing his mark if there was actually something in it for the Jedi to stay and fight. Jedi have every thing to lose and nothing to gain by staying and fighting so what if the BH lost his mark to a friends DB.BH on the other hand have nothing to lose except time and effortand every thing to gain. Move on and pull another mission. I doubt this is a common occurance any way.
Jedi should be reserved for the best not the worst to become the best because their profession is the strongest overall. Jedi should be for those that want a more challenging game not those that want the best ability to collect loot or want to accomplish high end missions the easiest. I don't understand this mentality. Being a jedi should be for when you've conquered the ordinary game and want something harder...not easier. Being confronted by a bounty hunter shouldn't be about what you have to gain it should be able the challenge.....a challenge that the player that believes he should be elevated above other players should have to face. Us Jedi hunters do not do it for the money...there are easier, faster and better ways to make even more money. Being a jedi should be the same way. Being a Jedi should be about taking the game to a new more difficult level not about playing the previous level in god mode.

One night I logged in to Chat with you and Anaic and several other friends. I had no intention of leaving the house and going any where. A BH showed up and goes hey Corina why don't you step out and fight me. I asked in return what is in it for me to step out and fight you? and he could not give me an answer.
For one, in my oppinion a Jedi should not seek out a fight so why should I step out? Second where is the incentive for me to step out and fight him? If there was some sort of incentive I might have considered going out and fighting the guy. So he stood there for 30 minutes thinking he was hindering my game play and acting like a dork. Saying things like "Well you are one less Jedi out and about! I am doing my job!" I told him that I logged in to chat with friends and that he was wasting his time. Eventually he logged out with out getting his mark. I on the other hand spent several hours that evening talking to my friends.
Simply put, Jedi have little incentive to do battle with BH... If a BH comes for me I will do every thing I can to inconvience said BH until there is something in it for me to fight him or her fair and square. Not that i would do the friend duel because that smacks of exploit. But I would not fret one bit over destroying a series of BH swoops.

well this is a discussion about tactics like the one in the original posters post. Running or staying in your house is one thing....getting your buddy to do the deathblow to cheat the xp loss is another thing and that's what your post was defending. I do not agree with that. Jedi run the risk and if they get caught and they are beaten they should pay that penalty.
You can't blame a bounty hunter for hunting you and wanting to fight. For many of us it's the only interesting content left in the game and it's surely not easily done these days.

Not defending the Friend DB thing as much as...what's the word....Indifferent to it. I know it is an exploit but I also know BH are exploiting some things as well as I just read something about /follow and something involving a droid and poison applied to a cloaked player...hmmmm. And I feel as long as Jedi have nothing to gain then I am rather indifferent to the exploit even if I myself would never do it. Now if Jedi had something to gain I would be on your side and up in arms about the DB exploit.
Show off Jedi a different story...stick it to them.
If you showed up on my door I would entertain you but you would have to agree to no db.LOL Or be a gentlemen and let me DB you.
naw I could not bring myself to DB you....I tend to let most BH go with out a DB. I only DB the arrogant.

I really don't understand the"I have nothing to gain." You have nothing to gain by dueling in starports or going SF in theed either. I understand the Light Jedi roleplayarguement that light Jedi shouldnt fight unless neccessary. But unless you're just logging on to chat a bit, check mail etc...why not fight? The BH has already lost the element of surprise. You can be as prepared for the fight as you want to be...I'll take that over getting one-shotkilled while spinning a lair anyday.
Besides, the BH may or may not drop your mission and may catch you less prepared like above. (I understand if you're a newer Jedi far from close to finishing your temp, but thats totally different)
As a complete template Jedi there is really no incentive to fight a BH. (That might change when FRS is turned on as I believe Jedi get FRS rank for killing MBH.) But for now I have no reason to fight unless I am cornered which would be near impossible to do with me and no I don't have cloak. The chance of me being one shot killed is also unlikely.
Besides I really believe that there are two types of Jedi in this game...the ones who are out in Theed showing off and the ones that really honor the Jedi code by living that code online. Too bad we always hear about the show offs...
