"Darth Ebay" seldom last long.

Like BH gethate spam hellwhenI kill a Jedi? After a kill without one word from me there have been times I been spammed with, Noob, you suxxor, respeccer etc. You don't see us hiding in a house because oftrash talkin an online game, do you? Or maybe you have thin skin and worry about what other 12 year olds think about you in a computer game?,

What you wrote has nothing to do with what I wrote.

I am saying that if you make Ebay Jedi very unwelcome most quit.

They generally havent played the game much, and will quit quite easily.

My post had nothing to do with trash talking Bountyhunters.

Yep, and since they bought it at Ebay as you just said...They will just resell it again and the cycle starts over which was my point.

But then again, did you just get done tellingus not many players sell their Jedi accounts on ebay. So which is it? Could you make up your mind?

ok i have to say ... i disagree with this 100% .. i may think jedi are overpopulated ... but i would NEVER condone harassing a player because he bought an ebay account.. i myself never have.. but i can understand the desire for one player who has to leave the game for whatever reason, wishto somehow get something back from all the time he put into the game .. and #2 a player who wants to join an aspect of an mmorpg but was recently just shined on to the game and is very far behind or just doesnt have the time to grind the template himself and wants to join in on the higher end content ...

those kids have paidGOOD money for those ebay jedi .. sometimes well over 1,000$ ... there is no possible excuse for harassing the player whensoedoesnt force ebay to refuse the jedi sales, and the person who's jedi it originally was had to leave and chose to sell the account in good standing with his buyer

First, there is no question to their capability to produce a server like this. It CAN be done, VERY easy, WITHOUT having to have two 'different sets of code'. There are many ways to accomplish this, whether they can use just basic if statements based off the server, or even doing #ifdefs for preprocessors, either way would work.

why do people keep bringing this up? it makes no sense to me....SOE is not going to run two versions of the game, this is like people who were begging them to put in an old world EQ server, with no expansions past kunark or something...it never happened, and neither will a non-jedi server.

False. It DID happen. A server was brought up briefly for a few months. This server was an Old world, Pure PvP Server with a new twist to pvp. I forget the name of the server, and how long it lasted, but it was there. Like I said above, its just a matter of either defining code to not be compiled with the server, or just doing if's on parts of the code that you can bypass depending on the server.

why was it so brief? was it due to the fact that people realized the grass is not always greener?
