Im leaning towrds the second one, less Defenceive mods, but more healing and I get run and Force speed.



Thoughts? Ideas?







I like the second better, but that's just because I'm not yet convinced that master defender is at all worth getting. I just don't think it is.

I would get Defender 4040, to get melee defenses since range defense is useless. They made tests and posted the results in a sticky. Your defenses (melee or range) are not dictated by the type of weapon used by your attacked, they are dictated by the weapon you are are holding so as long as your have the saber in hand, your effective defenses are your melee defenses, even if the BH is using a range weapon

I am MLS/MDef/Heal 3000/Enh 2000


Living without channel can be trying sometimes, but IMO Suppression (Root), FR1,and Speed are worth it.

With a double mastery I get a ton of Force too.


1000 pt. Heals are usually enough for me to get by...


The second template is more well rounded, with Improved Speed, still with FR1, channel included... but you lose quite a bit of defense. Which I have come to rely on.


The only thing I don't like about my template is that both of my Master boxes come with specials that aren't as useful or strong as they should be, but the mods that come with those Master Boxes make em worth it.


Either template is a fine choice.

With the recent discoveries of Melee & Ranged defenses you should definitely take Defender 4040 instead of 0440 in that template.

Furthermore, you may also consider dropping 4004 Enhancer and Novice Powers to either Enhancer 3402 or Enhancer 3002 + Defender 4440 if you can live without Drain Force and Meditate. Force Run 1 is arguably better than Force Run 2 due to the lack of damage reduction.

Although the templates seem fad-y, they are popular because they are composed of functioning and the most effective skills.

ls 0404 / menh / def 0040 / heal 4000 / pow 0400
menh / mls / heal 4040
mls / mdef / enh 0002 / heal 3000
mls / enh 3402 / def 4040 / heal 4000
mls / enh 3002 / def 4440 / heal 4000
ls 0404 / mdef / enh 4004 / heal 4100
ls 0444 / mdef / enh 3002 / heal 4000
mpow / menh / heal 4040
...

Etc. Slight variations depending on things that you'd like to have or may find useful, but most fall into being similar to the popular templates.

been messing with the calculator and came into this template -


Master Powers


Lightsaber 0402


Enhancer 3402


Healer 3000


Novice defender



looked like a cool template to me... defense might be a bitlacking though. not sure.


would appreciate your feedback .

The novice defender will be of no worth. You would be better off putting the 8 points into Healer 4000, Enhancer 4402 Sabers 0043 than anything else. It will give you a better heal and more force pool to work Force Armor with.

That sounds like a fun temp, lots of neat toys to play with, ive never had cloak but always envious of it, and i agree with nov defender isnt much worth you would be better off grabbing the 1500 heals.

yea dont waste 8 sp on nov def get ur healer 4xxxmaybe enh 44x2 also saber throw ok ranged attack but not worth it if its not advanced for the kd i think

i am a master enhancer master saber 4100 healing novice defender and i keep novice defender for the 1k more armor if i did not have that i would have 6k and not 7k armor so i think novice does help if u dont have arua and just have force armor. i think 4000 healing is a must though if u dont have md

The saber throw in a MPowers build is deadly important. It gives you one more option in ranged attack that is not based on a zip timer. It also does not use the same timer that a powers based attack does so it opens up more offensive options. The KD is with either Powers OR Saber KD in melee. If you KD w/ powers, toss the saber. If you KD in melee with the saber choke his ass! You have to be able to follow up an attack with a more devastating one. If not the cool downs will kill you and just prolong things.

The template I will be working on shortly just so you get an idea is.

MPowers/Sabers 0042/Healer 4000/Enhancer 2002/Defender 0040

I chose the aura route of defense vs. force armor due to the fact that as a Powers Jedi I am gonna need all I can get even w/ channel. But in doing so it gives me awesome offensive potential in different arenas.

As I have never been a force wielder and know abosultely nothing about it i'd appreciate more feedback about it: how good is lighting / choke etc.. do they do kinetic or energy damage like sabres?
