Thread: Are you reading my mind, bar?
...but how do you expect someone with zero ties to the force to be able to sense exactly how far a Jedi is from being exhausted of Force? As far as 90% of the galaxy is concerned, the force is a hokey religion. So, why then should they have such a profound understanding of it?
Even qui-gonn jin had to use a (weak ass excuse for storyline) genetic test to see how strong anakin was in the force.

But midichlorians didnt die with the Jedi purge. Just because we didnt go to Jedi school like the big 4 doesnt mean we can't learn the force. The whole point of the village is providing a place for force sensitives to start fine tuning their affinity for the force, outside of a "Jedi academy". Also, I may learn Jedi force healing, but that doesnt mean I was taught by a jedi, nor does that make me a jedi. It simply means I figured out a way of using the force for my purposes.
I've always kind of wondered why we weren't able to see their force bar. It's never really bothered me though, as others have pointed out, it's pretty easy to tell when their force is running low. Their damage production slows considerably, heals stop happening as fast, and they start running away.
However, it would be nice if we could see the actual bar. But that's probably a bad idea as it would make choosing when to strike much too easy. No more guessing as to when their force is running low when they're grinding, just wait until the bar is nearly drained hit them with a critical shot or two and take the deathblow. It's one of those things that while it would be nice in combat, it probably isn't practical when it comes to game balance.
QFE, that makes the point perfectly

lol uhhh our force bar is definitely our business. the point is, its none of your business so keep your nose out of it.
but back to the topic at hand:
As far as the mind thing goes, in martial arts I can judge things beyond the wounds of my opponent. As a SWG analogy, I would say that when his chest starts heaving and I know its hard for him to throw a punch, that his ACTION is low. I also know when his eyes start to wander, and he flinches a bit too much then he is afraid of me and his MIND/FOCUS is slipping. To be honest its actually pretty easy to judge these things in an opponent. Its not ridiculous to think that one can judge all aspects of their enemy's state with enough practice.
...and FYI it helps you guys too, because you can see when our mind is toast. and, if you know what youre looking for, channeling is apparent.

You already know when a jedi is low on force. They run.
atm it doesn't need to be more fair, bhs can already do more then excellent against almost any level jedi. this would be an extremely unbalancing issue imo.

why not? it's something physical that we can see. it's obivous when someone is tired or isn't thinking straight so why cant we see ur mind?
