My point was that of the 6 missions I took, 6 were offline...of the 20 or so I checked with the friends list ALL were offline.

I gave up after that.

But WHY are they showing up on the terms if they're not online?

So you can take it even though the jedi is offline, I prefer having thatchoice myself. And do use /findfriend instead of the friend list, much safer.

Heh, I've got no worries, I'm not a known BH yet, so adding them to my friends list isn't a big deal...this char is a respec and my other BH char was only at inves II

he can have you in his friend list, you will be able to use /findfriend on him to get his wp, if you don't have him in your friend list he can not do the same, but /findfriend will still work for you just fine.

you don't need to add people to your friend list for /findfriend to work, all that is needed is they add your to their own.

when you use /findfriend and they are online(but don't have you in their friend list) you will get a message that the person could not be locate, if they are offline you won't get any message.

another benefit of the friend list is that you can keep track of which jedi you have fought, their combat level, and most important for me, their faction.

true enough, but you still have given up your location by putting jedi in your friend list, paper works nicely for jedi stats.

okay... A jedi will not be running a find friend macro on you until AFTER combat is initiated or you have spooked him.

THEN, IF he has time, he'll know be able to addfriend you and start a findfriend macro with your name... but that takes the better part of a 30-60 seconds. Where as for you it takes all of /removefriend JEDI.

Thenwhen you are done with the fight, put him back on.

when you remove him you've lost your data from the friend list

and some jedi dorun /findfriend macros for all the BHs they know about, or their grinding group will have a system

Ring a bell?

I suppose we're expected to be happy that at least they tell us the target is offline at all...

Nice!

Just wondering, has anyone tested whether the "offline" messages are correct. I know it sounds dumb, but has anyone tracked a house sitter, verfied online status, then launched a few more probes to see if any of those come back as "offline"?

its hard to tell if they are actually offline when you launch the arakyds because you don't know who you are after. If you can get a jedi to stand next to you on the terminals and then take mission after mission until you get his, THEN try to launch the arakyd.
