Thread: Melee BH?
Only bad thing is, you see them getting prepped by pulling out their pets.. When I see that start to happen now I pull out my ATST. fun times.
But on topic with melee BH'ers, have you seen how some of these powerhammers got converted? Some of us jedi fear some of these older swordsman than we do any bh, as they truley have a can of "pwn".

Well I quit SWG shortly before the CU, and I was wondering if TKM Bounty Hunters were still effective. So I have a few questions I would apprecaite being answered:
1. Are TKM BH's still effective?
2. If not, what template should I use? (Jedi PvP Mainly)
3. What should I set my HAM bars to when I create my account?
4. What is a good server to be a BH on?
Thanks,
1)No it takes Master Bounty Hunter to hunt Jedi now and going melee would be a waste of skill points.
2)BH and CM has been the FoTM for awhile now but you'll want 4xxx CM at least.
3)You can't adjust your stats anymore. Your Health will start at 1k and will be around 3k once you reach level 80.
4)Any server, Jedi are everywhere now.
Melee Bhers are nothing. I would kill any that came for me in seconds.
1) because you get NO gen melee speed or acc in BH. (I think you sould so ppl have a choice)
2) you will be limeted to your one master pros attacks
3) lack of Defence. A Fully melee templet with swords tk and fencer mixed with doc (and the know how to use it) can give a Knight a run. But no room for master bh ![]()

Melee/MBH isn't a very good Jedi hunting template as of the new requirements of MBH to hunt Jedi. You'll need more healing than you can get with stims and drink, every 30 seconds.
It limits the possibility of having almost limitless effective Bounty Hunting templates, but the change was likely made to make Bounty Hunting more "Star Warsy" in that, at no point during the movies was there a melee bounty hunter. The CU as a whole seems to have gone away from Melee as a viable profession, though some PvP'ers with melee are still VERY effective against the ranged players. And wholly melee PvP are like a death warrant for a Jedi, you just cannot hunt them.
