Thread: Jedi keep talking about the risk....I THINK I figured it out..
How's YOUR AFK grinding going?
And finally someone else sees what? That being a Jedi has been reduced to a joke, and at the VERY least is a BIG insult to the Jedi before you who actually had to "worry" about ANY death?
Given the moaning over Jedi in their current state, I can't imagine the uproar over a Jedi as strong as they should really be.
I remember the early days, and was annoyed as anyone by the profession mastery method of unlocking. I told Raph on private boards often enough how bloody stupid it was, but he's been kicked upstairs and not seen since (apart from his book and record releases heh). I didn't mind sabre-TEF, perma-death and the rest as Jedi were actually quite powerful. However, now Jedi are not even close to that power and that is probably why some of the penalties are reduced.
Then again, I am not the kind of Jedi to stand around cities duelling. If you got rid of those types and in return I got my old level of power back (with the penalties), I'll be happy too.

(The first part of what you just wrote makes no sense, so I will attempt to divine the meaning you intended.)
That is actually what you are saying. You said because there were no non-Jedi in your movie, that no non-Jedi AFK grind. I replied by pointing out the gaping flaw in your argument. Don't project your faulty logic onto me
Oh and it's rationale, since you are being picky.
I haven't had to grind anything since I bought JTL. Been finished on my Jedi and BH for a long time, so spare me your attempted insults. Look at my forum reg date and remember you are talking to someone who has played this game a lot longer than you (I was in the original beta too), so your usual armoury of insults will do you no good. As my above post says, I remember perma-death and sabre TEF along with bugged BH missions for pitiful XP, all done with no vehicles. You can't out "old timer" me I'm afraid.
If you have no case to back up your trolling, just retire gracefully.

Round and round we go...spin spin spin thil it's SO unlogical people can't even remember what the hell we were talking about....
BOTTOM LINE:
Jedi AFK grind on Kashyyyk FAR more then any other "profession". What's so hard about this? No one even mentioned your name, so whay take it so personal?
Exactly!
If you aren't or are a Jedi, then why are you taking it personal that OTHER Jedi AFK grind? It has no effect on you as a player. And are you still forgetting all the entertainers that AFK grind? Just because other jobs that AFK grind don't grindon Kasyhkk doesn't mean they aren't there.
The only reason Jedi AFK grind on that planet is because BH can't track them. If you want to complain aboutthat then its viable. But don't complain just because they are AFK grinding. You need to focus your complaints so thatthey are actually valid. If that planet wasn't around then you wouldn't be able to make your video because you'd have to run around and actually locate the different places they grind. This is probably the reason you don't see/notice the other people AFK grinding.
It's party the players fault for AFK grinding, but it is also SOE's fault people AFK grind. Without macros people wouldn't do it...well untill people started writing bot programs to do it for them. I guess in reality you can't getrid of AFK grinders, they are in every MMORPG.

Nope, we know what you are talking about. You may have confused yourself along the way, but don't blame us for that. You know your point is without merit so now you are trying to avoid discussion.
BOTTOM LINE - You whine far too much on these forums. Go outside, take a breath of fresh air and repeat "It's only a game, it's only a game".
"Exactly" what? Dear god are you still persisting in your attempts to paint someone who has played this game for nearly 3 years as someone who needs to AFK grind? I guess you just can't change your forum tactics can you, call everyone who disagrees with you a "n00b" or an exploiter. Well son, your argument has been swiggified. Don't take it personally

I have yet to use the word "noob" in this thread....that and I rarely use it at all.
It bothers me that players can now become a very powerful character in SWG without even being in front of the computer. This bothers me...that I cannot hide. And if they ever give an entertainer Cloak and Stasis, then an AFK Entertainer will bother me as well.
Just because the majority of players posting in this thread are aspiring Jedi who find nothing wrong with becoming a Jedi while being AFK does NOT mean I, or many other players, are content with it. Jedi USED to have an argument for thier strength...now they have NONE.
"I'm a Jedi....I SHOULD be more powerful then any other profession. Do you know how much XP I had to grind while I was at work or sleeping?" This is just laughable...I don't care WHO you are. You either laughing at the audacity, or your laughing at the fact that you were ACTUALLY able to do such a thing. Either way, your laughing.

You throw that kind of insult around all the time.
So, it bothers you that a Jedi can be done AFK. Why doesn't it bother you that Rifleman, for eg, can too, or CM? Both are powerful skillsets that can kill Jedi and non-Jedi alike. It all comes back to your irrational hatred of Jedi players. I'm not a fan of anyone AFK'ing a profession and never have been, but it seems you think it's ok for everyone except Jedi.
Jedi no longer have the strength that you refer to. They are no longer head and shoulders over every other possible char combo, as many posts that you have ignored have pointed out. If they add back in the old risks along with the old strengths I'd be a happy Jedi (and BH). However, I will work with whatever system the game presents me with until I no longer have fun.
But you are right, I am laughing - at you. Your inability to understand the new system, coupled with your irrational hatred of Jedi players (not even their chars, the actual players) leads you to spend most of your time posting endless whine/nerf posts. You contribute nothing beyond being the mad uncle in the attic of the BH board. If that floats your boat, go nuts. Just don't expect anyone to take you seriously while they dissect your arguments.

AFK grinding on kashyyyk cant be blamed on the jedi. the blame should lie with the developers on this one.
Since the CU. new jedi know that if they wanted to grind xp then the WILL be on the terminals, most have had a choice. either grind in groups and be alert for when a BH shows up and gain a moderate ammount of experience. or go to kashyyyk and afk grind. As is human nature, many people have chosen the easy path and gone to kashyyyk.
The combat upgrade made group hunting the only viable option of gaining experience, however the old visibility rules are still in place.
Agree. The developers got rid of solo grinding for jedi so we are stuck down there till they get rid of group visibility. Would rather go back to pre CU and solo grind in peace. Would rather kill klicknics at the blue leaf or gurks on Lok.
And for the original poster. Heres something for you: http://www.shakes-net.com/images/swg/kitten.jpg
i just say let their be NPC jedi's ( like vadar and luke and yoda) tell everyone else to go to h$ll or change the time frame dramatically, OR take the freaking jedi out of the GCW PLEASE!

oo great matrix music for that 1 min i jammed out hehe.
Well for the most part the reason the game has gone down hill is due to the patches and implementations of systems that do nothing more than cause more bugs and exploits. Also the giving of bonuses that will unbalance the game even more. (Christmas holo, Respec, Double xp)
But Im glad that they finally fixed those candles. Boy I am glad that they fixed that bug that I really didnt care about.
