Thread: How many have their Armor ADK'd?
I actually tried to repair a set of preCU comp. gloves with a few nice AA's on them. Well, it critically failed, and thus, I have a 1/1 condition on them. However, should this be a big deal since PostCU gloves offer no protection anyway? And will the stats still stick then if I still equip it?
I have the following ADK'd:
- Helmet
- Chest
- Legs
- Gloves
- Boots
- Both Biceps
- Both Bracers
- Three Pistols
I also use a 4-slot, pre-nerf Mabari Armorweave Belt, Ubese Shirt and Ubese Bandolier.
Zero.
Seriously. I have a lot of armor sets, and currently they're just decoration. The Scout Trooper and Shock Trooper Armor makes nice decoration in my Decimator
.
I haven't amassed enough money for 25M for a single ADK.
For me, it just doesn't make economic sense. A full suit of armor costs anywhere from 500k to 2M (faction). You only use it when you need it, and only when fighting high level mobs. Otherwise BE clothes does the trick. Mind you it's nice once in awhile to run around in Scout Trooper armor on a Speederbike or Shock Trooper Armor on a Dewback. But that's about the extent my armor gets used for.
I do have a modded Composite Armor with Pre-Cu boots and gloves. They're stored in Droid 1 for Kinetic wielding melee or pistoleers/BH. This is great for duels.
I have a set of 7000/5000/6000 Ubese modded with Armor Break Sliced. (I still went with unlayered as 8000 recon has about 4000 kinetic, and sometimes Jedi goes TKA on you and bam you're getting hit with hard kinetic) They're stored in Droid 2 for Jedi Hunting only.
Then I have my PVE, unmodded High End Dungeon (Energy for Death Watch, Black Suns, etc..) in Droid 3.
Then I have my PVE, unmooded High End Dungeon (Kinetic for Unsoris, Nightsisters, Geo, etc.. ) in Droid 4.
I always wear an Imperial PSG with General Accuracy Mods in it. (Also have with each droid as each droid can hold 10).
So the only time the armor gets taken out is when I use it. So 90% of the time it doesn't decay on cloning. It's always ready when I need it, and so ADK not needed.
90% of the time. I run in BE Clothing. For grinding and single melee mobs this is sufficient. This works well with Goraxes, Juvie-Canyon Krayts and most nightsisters.
Overall, I have a huge choice of armor (A total of 6) that costs probably around 10-20 Mil (Factoring costs of tapes, faction, and smuggling. This still means that it's less than the 25Mil needed to buy a single ADK.
I still use armor without fear, but only when needed, and so no real reason to buy an ADK.
All the stuff above is still replaceable, so even for the price of one ADK I can replace it all.
As for weapons, I find that by the time my pistol is worn from repairs, I would end up looting some power cells! for a new Scatter Pistol.
(This is about 1:100 missions
So no ADK needed there.
Maybe it's just me.
But I'm a poor man's BH. ![]()
You are correct. Armor is indeed easily replaced. But these days it's really the high end AA's that areplaced onto them that are extremely valuable. I sure as heck wouldn't want to lose a +25 heal efficiencyAA that is imbedded on a soon to be tattered piece ofarmor ...
