Bounty Hunter Archive
Thread: Jedi Jedi Everywhere!
You'll never have my respect.
All you do is incite anger here.

You guys should be happy there are Jedi. When the missions work properly, you'll have your endgame.
I swear, nothing makes the people on this particular board happy. When there were only a couple Jedi, you complained that there weren't enough bounties to go around, and that it sucked that you'd have to be extremely lucky to ever get one.
Now that Jedi are more common, you're complaining about that, too. Ever wonder why devs ignore this board?
I'm done playing your little game. No matter howwrong you are you simply ignore thefacts. You came here with this trolling post and now your trying to weasle your way out of it.Begone troll.

Of course you're done. You were done the minute you went to the archives and couldn't find anything, so you decided to try to deflect attention with personal attacks. Here you try to deflect attention yet again, and resort to personal attacks yet again.
The only quote you found at all was asking that bounty hunters be left at the same effectiveness.
Still waiting for those quotes. Or an apology.
1) You got your quote.
2) Removing mind damage is a serious nerf to eye-shot. Bumping up the damage or whatever lame idea you'd want to try and pass off as a consolation is obviously rediculous.
3) Begone troll. You've lost.

And what if Eye Shot did something like make your target unable to fire a weapon for 10 seconds or so? Would that be so "obviously ridiculous"?
There are a ton of things they could do. You're assuming it would bea nerf only because you want to. "Consolation" is your word. "Compensation" was mine. Look up the two words and learn why they can't be substituted for each other.

We already had thatin KD. so ummm, yup, it would still be a nerf. Fact is, you were just stumping to nerf others cause you were mad thatyou couldn't heal mind pools with you doc.

And again, you spout half-truths and misleading info.
Do you remember what my other profession was at that time? hint... It was a mind-damage profession. Come on, you say you're so familiar with my posts. But you keep proving otherwise. How come you didn't know I was a swordswoman? Hmm? Inquiring minds wanna know.
"stumping to nerf others" huh? That change would have nerfed ME hard. And yet I still wanted it.
I've never accused you of being intelligent.

Asking for a game change that would hurt you is beyond your grasp? Can't fathom such a thing?
I wanted that change (and still do) because it would make the combat system better overall. We'd finally be able to tank things using players instead of pets without resorting to all these gimpy solutions like melee mitigation and stacking defenses. Things like that are almost imossible to balance in a skill-based system.
Asking for something that would hurt you when you feel it would benefit the game overall is called "maturity". Maybe someday it won't be beyond your grasp anymore.
Yah, it's definitely offtopic, but hey... The original topic is dead anyway.
Did you ever play Dark Age of Camelot? No complete heal in that game, so obviously no CH chain.
There are more models out there than just Everquest. Lots more.
1 star me all you want, it's still the truth. Want other examples?
First, there was complaining that investigation was too hard, didn't give enough money or XP. So it was changed. 2 hours later there was whining here that now everyone would be a master bounty hunter and they never should have changed it.
Remember the mitigation? The devs set it to melee and there was whining that it should be ranged because BHs use guns and all other gun professions got ranged. Then it was ranged, and there was whining that it should be melee because Jedi are melee.
We told pistoleers to shut up for ages because "they got better defenses". That was supposed to be their forte`. Well, defenses were broken. Then they get fixed... And there's whining that now you might actually miss a pistoleer.
Need me to go on? I can probably list 10 more examples.
It's my opinion that when the devs realized they were faced with a group of people who would be unhappy no matter what the devs did, they figured it was easier to just do nothing. If nothing can make them happy, why do anything?
Can't really learn from the mistake of evolving a game around complete heals, when there are no complete heals in the game!
Also, Until SWG came out, Everquest was SOE's flagship MMORPG. Just a FYI.
