Now that I got that out of the way, let me comment on some posts of yours.

This is one, but I do not agree with your thinking. You are a correspondant. Not a dev or the sole leader of the BH community. What your job here is to SUPPORT our ideas and issues. You are a liasion to the devs. You are our voices. It isnt up to you what you want to pursue. If you want to have our support, then you need to rethink how you handle things. I know you just started as a correspondant, so I am giving you some advice. Instead of listenting to your own ideas and thinking about how YOU can improve the BH profession, you need to listen to our ideas and do your best to make us happy. That is what a correspondant does. Take a look at all of the other correspondants. They do their best for their profession. That's what you need to focus on.

I do not mean to come off rude, but I have been a BH for 2 years and although I didnt get everything I wanted for the BH's, I know Tanks did his best to make us happy. If you do not feel you can do this, please step down and let someone else do this. Thanks.

I think I might have some slight qualification to respond to this post.

First off, it is not his job to do his best to make you happy. It is his job to help improve the BH profession, and the game overall, if that also makes you happy that is great. This also means FILTERING the noise coming from the forums. This means communicating with the devs in an effective manner.

If there are several issues and the devs ask for Top One or Three (they are always asking for that even after you have given it to them several times), it is the correspondent's job to gauge the dev environment and present an issue that is a high priority for the profession, AND DOABLE.

That is how you get things done (or at least I did). An analogy could be a bank giving out loans. The bank has 100K to give out at any given time, and has to keep as many customers happy as they can. Correspondents are the customers coming with loan requests, a revamp lets say is a 99K loan. A fix can be between 5 - 10K. A game mechanic change could be 50K. The best way to get your 99K is to go to the bank several times for 5 - 10K at a time. Before you know it you have gotten your 99K, while the customer that has been asking for the 99K, all at once,is still waiting .

So, Samous is right for not pushing for things that has very little chance of getting implemented. This way he will get his 5 - 10K instead of missing his opportunity.

Everyone has seemed to misunderstand the post. It was not because he wont pursue the "kicking jedi out houses" idea, it's because he stated (in a few other posts) what he wont do. I guess what I am saying is instead of listening to the BH community, he has already made a decision of what he will and wont do. All ia m asking for is for him not to make decisions based on his personal feelings and to make them based on the majority decision of the BH community.

exactly. I was about to say the same til I saw your post. Achy's post had little to do with the House sitting. His main point was a good correspondent needs to avoid what HE FEELS SHOULD BE DONE TO THE PROFESSION.

what other ridiculous item do you want him to make a fool of himself with on the devlopment boards? forced landing at kadaara if they are flying in space? maybe autowarp to the bh term of your choosing if they are running quests on Kash?

get a pair

you used to be a descent BH when you had amel running with you all the time, you didnt whine, you didnt cry, you just took misions and tried to kill jedi(well, okay, you cried once in a while, but tkm melee stackers with fire knucklers wipes away alot of bh tears). Now all the sudden you want to be ap^ssy and have every jedi handed to you. Nice addition to your prof.

/salute amel

Um... before you flame me, re-read my post. I do not whine or complain. I just want to make sure the new Correspondant is taking our ideas to the devs based on the majority of what the BH community wants. I love the hunt, and do not want the jedi handed to me.

Well put, and of course a very sensible way of looking at it. Rungs on a ladder.

Of course until people see the results that he comes back with it's all going to be a little up in the air. Anyone new in a position of responsibilty has an initial period of having to prove themselves, and also they are very much under the microscope and the smallest comment, however intended, can be interpreted in many ways.

I say good luck to him and all things considered I don't think I could do it. Do correspondents get issued a fireproof suit when they are appointed?

as has been posted many times, there is a limit to what they can, and do ask for, possibly he is using "judgement" against what is possible, and what is going to simply make him look stupid. dont forget the consequences of someone with his position looking stupid on the development boards, do you want everything he says from now on to be judged with a twist of that same stupidity?

ejecting house sitting jedi is stupid, its going to be percieved as stupid, even if every single bounty hunter on these boards votes for it. if he goes to the devs and says "the number one bh item on their wish list is ejecting house sitting jedi for the ubar leet pwnability" how is anyone of any authority going to see him? how is he going to be able to represent you?

you have to allow him some judgement to prevent a majority of 12 year olds from taking over your boards and forcing him ask for extra dessert and less homework.
