I mean, yeah, it's be a lot nicer to be told earlier by my first droid that they were in a house, but honestly I think we have to go to the source of the problem.

Why do we need to impose forced PvP on players who dont wish for it? If a Jedi wants to hide in his/her house that's his/her perogative. My only issue with this is the time spent tracking my mark only to find out his playstayle doesnt neccessarily match mine. Buta Jedi cannot template if he/she does not come out of his house to grind. Patienceis the only solution right now to this situation. If Ihave the time, I'll wait my mark out. IfI am pressed for play time, I'll just grab another mission. One can argue, however, that back in the day Q promised the life of a Jedi to be filled with peril so perhaps it would be appropriate to implement a system that allowed Bounty Hunters to enter a Mark's home.

With all due respect to the Jedi and the work they put into their grinds, they surrendered those rights when they became Padawans and got a free alt.

That is a good idea imo. The only drawback would be the jedi who sits outside his house till he sees a blue dot on his radar and runs in before the BH can attack and the tef is applied. But other than that, i like it.

usually i just threaten jedi to come out. it goes something like this...

me: are you going to come out and fight?

jedi: no, i have nothing to gain

me: there's nothing in any form of pvp to gain except pvp rating and respect

jedi: say what you will i am a pansy ass. (ok, i changed this part to the truth)

me: ok, fine.... i'll keep your mission until you die

jedi: go for it

if the jedi continues to run after 4 days of constantly attacking them they usually stay and fight. (yes i have held a jedi's mission for a week attacking them a few times a day until this happened).

as far as a fix, maybe let the bh send in a single droid or something to attack for a very, very, very short period of time. during this bring up a window for the BH to see what's going on in the house. (small popup in your datapad or something). maybe bring in some kind of poison droid or something like that. no a bh shouldn't be able to kill a afk jedi in a house. we all have to go afk for various reasons. a auto-logout that canot be bypassed by a simple macro to /jump or /clap would be nice also. this droid idea would give a tef for teh jedi to attack a BH giving them the first strike increasing their ability to win. and to keep long range bh from standing back while the jedi runs, put a 20-30m range on this remote controlled droid.

Yeah, that has way too many loopholes in it.

Well it's not like we ask them to gain vis and then go hide in their houses.

And if you actually read, we don't want to kick them out of the houses.

A recent post was made regarding removing Jedi from their houses if a Bounty Hunter is after them. I replied and was mis-interpreted.

Just to clear the water, I think removing any player from a structurehe/she isalready in is a bad idea.

The same can be said regarding shooting through walls, allowing the hunter to enter the structure, not allowing a (un-tef'd) Jedi from entering a structure, etc.

Yes, finding Jedi unattackable due to houses is a big issue, but a "/pick lock" command isn't the way to fix it.

On the same note, I'd like to use this post as an opportunity to request possible solutions to this situation. I'd really like to hear some ideas from my fellow hunters becuase this is an issue that needs solved.

Please keep in mind that any form of removing a bounty from a structure is not an alternative I am willing to pursue.

Deleted my original post as I saw SamousNemo's reply to my post in the other thread. I thank you for answering it directly Samous. However, I still fear the bugs/exploits thatit mightbring. I saw your statistics that 43% of BH missions are house-sitters, on kashyyyk, etc. It doesn't seem that high to me. At least on Flurry. Of course, it may be because I have always been a ranged BH and go back to the days of standing in front of the terms hitting the refresh button for hours. I still don't see it as that big of an issue and I will leave it at that.
