I was fighting a mark a few days back on Tatooine. She ran into an old Battleground (remember them...LOL) obviously hoping the TEF would stop like it used too, anyway, it was laggy as hell I incapped her twice and due to lag (her body sliding and healing lag) and DB timer I couldn't get the DB, I got her to 1/4 health the last time and she ran towards a nearby krayt and suicided. I did not get paid, no mission complete or incomplete. Nothing. Then she had the nerve to tell me she didn't see the krayt........ROFL

You don't get incapacitated by lava.
It kills you. No triple-incap.
Even if it did, if the lava triple incaps the Jedi and not you, no paycheck for you.

hard to tell, since this is a type of damage we have not encounterd before to this extent (there is other environmental damage, like salrac pit and poison gas in geno caves).
You do NOT need a DB to get paid, as tripple incap works. If a creature DBs on the other hand, it is a no go. So the question comes into the programing and if the TEF makes a difference. Does the Lava DB like a creature, or is it a different sort of coding? I'm guessing that you will get the kill. Since lava damage doesn't show in combat spam..... it may work. Just a guess, neither result would suprise me.
