if u dont have anything constructive to say then f*@* off

to everyone else, very good points and as someone said about having the option to not hunt kash jedi wen u get their mission.....

i got BH this sunday morning at 8AM central time, i got one active (nonkash nonspace) for every 7 kashyyyk jedi missions, so i wasteda TON of droids trying to get just ONE jedi......also took about 30+minutes just to get a mission.....i mean common thats not how i want to spend my time. and i have alot of lag at night so it is not practical for me to go shuttlehopping after jedi (about 5-10 per travel)

No fault in killing AFK jedi. They placed themselves there, so **edit**? Good cash for no work.

In other thinking, it would be nice if the devs removed the means to AFK grind or if they simply allowed droids to work on Kashyyyk as well. They likely won´t do either but rather churn out next expansion: The Marathon Of Luke in a few weeks, before they dump the game.

It was sarcasm...from this post (you could switch house sitting with jedi on kash and the post would still make sense)

There seems to be a lot of fuss about Jedi house-sitting at the moment. This got me to thinking.

The problem is that bounty hunters end up 'losing' 15-20 mins of play time when this happens. Something many claim to be a major issue.

Now let's put this into perspective. What where you on your way to doing when this happened? You were about to take a shot killing said Jedi. And from what I've noticed recently, you have a very good chance at doing it. So, if you are succcessful, that sets the Jedi back 2000 x number of skill points in XP. That could range from 16k (8 points for 1 novice box) to 452k XP.

Now, what does that represent in grinding time? For a full template Jedi, perhaps nothing at all. For a beginning, just out of the village Padawan, not much either. But, a middle of the road (the weakest of them all) grinding Padawan, about 150-300k.

If the Jedi is able to get into a good group, that represents MAYBE an hours worth of work. However, for the others who don't find a good group, that represents potentially 2-6 HOURS of grinding time, just to get back to where they were before.

When the Jedi complain that they lost XP, the now standard BH replies are:

1: Cry more noob,
2: You knew what you were getting into,
3: Deal with it,
4: any other BH reply that suits your fancy.

My question to the BH community is this, don't these replies also apply to us?

Not looking for a flame war, just trying to put things into perspective.

I thank you for taking the time to read this. If you didn't have the patience to do so, well that speaks volumes about the problem right there.

lol, i understand your perpective although u could have posted it originaly and kept us both from getting annoyed.....anyways i do have the patience, have spent every second online hunting jedi since i mastered, but i feel kinda sad wen i wast soooo many droids for one jedi wen they sell for up to 400k a crate on shadowfire (i get mine free but thats not the point:smileywink

plus, try hunting jedi early in the morning, most that are online r the ones that left the afk combat macro up fighting wookies all night, i spent 2 hours sunday morning to get 2 active jedi and 1 house sitter

This works if the Jedi is totally afk, but many times the Jedi will only be semi-afk, with a macro running and maybe alt-esc'ing occasionally, or chatting in-game... upon the sight of a blue dot, the Jedi still have plenty of time to get to a safe spot.

This is very true, but it's also a seperate issue. The LOS problem is an exploit and is reportable to the best of my knowledge. Of course as with most CSR assistance, you probably won't get any results. So then you're left with the decision to sit their and wait until the Jedi finally logs out from frustration(then wander just outside their radar range and wait another few minutes for them to log back in, then burst run to themand root them once they leave the LOS exploit), or just leave and try another mission.

In any case, in reply to all the other negative posts, just because you find it inconvenient doesn't mean it needs to be changed. I would love it if they made seekers work on Kash, but in their infinite wisdom*sarcasm of course*, the Devs have decided to make wookiee world a safe haven for Jedi afk grinders. We're left with finding a way to deal with that within the boundaries of the game design. I enjoyed hunting down AFK grinders on Kash, I enjoyed showing them that just because seekers don't work there didn't mean they were safe. A real hunter overcomes adversity to get the job done. But you have a choice, if you don't want to go to the trouble of hunting on Kash, don't. As soon as the Arakyd returns a kash result, drop it and get anew mission.
