My bugged rate is exactly 8% at MBH.
I did 100 marks to get that number.
I hear a LOT of people complain that their marks "aren't there" or "just vanish", I cannot say for certain because I wasn't there when it happened. But I can tell you that marks are VERY often not at the exact WP. But many times they are within 100m of the WP. What happens is the game was calculating it's next move when you came into range. The WP moved but the NPC did not.
Circle around looking for a yellow con or do a /target name with the marks name. Most likely they are there somewhere. Also, if your seeker has finished giving updates say 300m from the target, it's possible that the mark moved before you got into range. I've had a mark jump 2k at a time. Drop another seeker and wait, I'm betting it will give you a different WP.
Most "bugged" missions I don't think are bugged really, I think most people just aren't aware of how the marks move and it makes them difficult to track them down.
Of my 8% that bugged, two of them where white dots, two of them were inside a structure. The rest I labeled as "bugged" because I got a mission failure because the mark spawned in the water and the mission canceled, or the mark double spawned (there were two NPC's with the same name/stats) for example. Only 4% of my missions where un-attackable because they were white dots or inside a structure. And one of them I got credit for actually because he was a white dot but a rebel npc killed him for me.
My point?
I'm not the end-all-be-all BH Mark expert or anything, I'm just trying to explain that lots of times the mission may look broken but the NPC might actually be there. Try the things I mentioned above and see if they help.
Search the area wider, if your seeker isn't giving updates drop another. Try using the /target command. Just some advice, take it or leave it.
ive had several of these each in the last 2 days
30 for 30....
fought a 35k gold elite and a 33k gold elite yesterday and got 2 reactive micro platings... in fact, the worst loot I've gotten has been off gold elites...
The first one worked fine. The second one vanished when I got within 200m. The third and fourth could not be attacked when I reached the waypoint. I did verify that the NPC had the same names as my mission targets, just to be sure.
