For the longest time I used the proton carbine, but a little while back I got an awesome elite made with some of the uber power cells that have been dropping and a preCU weapon stock and I'll never use my proton again.

Not that DPS really matters, but how are you ugys getting over 800? I have a 430-1063 (capped) elite carbine, with 1.25 modified speed, and 55 SAC (with pup) and my DPS is about 550. Just curious. I don't have any SEA's in my armor and clothing yet. Would that make a difference if I installed a few carbine speed CA's? I think my elite carbine is capped.

Speed pups would be my best guess, with a speed pup on my carbine my mod dps is well over 900.

That must be the reason. I do believe my "modified" speed is like 1.25 or something. So I'm guessing some people have their speed down below 1.00 ...way below to get that DPS. But I'm pretty sure that DPS doesn't mean much and having a lower SAC means everything when you are spamming all those specials. My SAC (after pup) is like 55 and I never run out of action when popping blob candy, etc.

Czerka Dart carbine is the best carbine unless your opponent is wearing assault armor. In that case carry an Elite or E11 mark 2 carbine.

Yeah Elite, Mark II and the proton for sure, in ranged vs ranged i like to use my proton carb with a speed PUP and vs melee I like my blast dmg Mark II

If you're looking to deal Energy damage then your best bet is the Elite Carbine. Get ahold of a stack of 5 good powercells and you should be able to cap both SAC and Damage on one of these babies. If you're looking to deal Kinetic damage then you'll need to get ahold of a capped Czerka Dart Carbine. Capping these are a bit harder though as you need either a stack of 6 Reinforced Casings or 6 Gorax Shards - both of which are hard to obtain.

bah czerka FTL...Nyms slugthrower, well the one i have is 895 max dmg WITH 175 acid elemental it works MUCH better in my opinion as it is fast as crap too

Is that a maxed out nym carbine? Mine is 360-719 with 175 acid damage. I haven't seen or heard about one that's better but I recently readsomeone on another server had the exact same stats as me. So, does anyone have a nym that beats those stats. That's 535 min kinetic/acid damage, try blocking that with a psg.

How did you slice yours?
