I wouldn't be so sure that this new system is here to stay. If enough people do quit and state that it is one of the reasons they are quiting they may think twice about it. They may also look at the balance issue and decide that it is not a well balanced plan.

Once all the BHs relize this and the jedi get killed over and over then the devs will change it back, or not, either way I don't care.

Sadly the marketing department will look at the results not the cause. They will say, those of the bounty hunting profession have quit and the jedi population is on the rise. Lets focus on jedi issues...lets make the game more enjoyable for the jedi player.
I've worked in marketing that's what they do. They don't look at stuff that's not succeeding they look to make the most use out of what IS succeeding and try to remove what is not.
The reason bounty hunter did get some attention is because there was a high population....which is now on the decline. That is not a good thing. Professions like ranger, squadleader etc...are low population, so they will continue to get the shaft.

All the jedi on the servers and now they decide to listen too them? i thought swg was in the business of purging the servers and now they are makeing the jedi flurish under this HUNT AND PECK system
This would not have happened if BH did not use the old system to grief specific Jedi. I am sure posts like one found on intrepidwith the names of Jedi out grinding did not help your cause. I am sure that little hit list did not sit well with the devs. Nerfs like this come about because of abuse of the system.
Besides...I like the idea of being hunted every day. As a knight I was lucky to get hunted once every 3 months.... And there is a non-Jedi template out there that is near impossible to beat. I won't tell you what it is but I know that the 1.5 power bit the devs put out there that Jedi are that much stronger is a bunch of garbage.
