You know which part I like the best about these comparisons......it's the part where everyone forgets that Boba fired the ships blasters at Obi wan and disarmed him...so yes I agree with you and think BHs should be just as strong as a Jedi without a saber in hand.

Mace was undoubtedly the best Lightsaber Swordsman in the galaxy... hands down. I mean, he single handedly beat the emporer, if it werent for Anakin slicing his hands off. It wouldnt have mattered if the bull helped Mace either. All we could have hoped for was that Jango would have gotten away with this jetpack had it not been for the bull.
The whole point to this though, is that in game, bh's are regular professions. Jedi are not. In order for us to stay on equal ground, we have to take on such professions as MCM. I do think us Bh's shouldnt be on equal ground, I just feel we should have toys, traps, and stuff to help. Kinda like when you through a trap at an animal and you see "Defense Down" We need something to tath effect, but maybe only effective through some sort of MBH ranking system... kinda like the old FRS? /shrug
