you guys are freaking idiots! who the hell cares how much it costs? its not a factor simply because you want another reason to whine, when you can just use the community search and ask one of the many other million BH who need app xp because they are just holo grinding.

How many holo grinders keep MBH once they get to it?

Logic, ahoy!

When I finally qualified, there were no MBH online to teach me. On any of 3 planets I checked.

Isn't this the Bounty Hunter Forum? Sephx, didn't I see you TEFprotecting Arrowed (a fat Wookie Jedi) the other day in Coronet City against a MBH with a legitimate Mission against him? I can't see how youhave any business posting on this forum at all after that.

mbh gets ranged mitigation 1-3 and 27 ranged defense and 2 melee defense.

the 20 ranged and 2 melee come from the marksman tree and 7 ranged comes from master.

ranged mitigation is a weak thing to say also as ever prof got a mitigation of some kind.

combine a tkm/mrifleman/4400 fencer/novice medic template with armor and awesome guns vs a mbh pistoleer template with equal armor and weps thetkm/mrifleman will win even tho both spent the majority(if not all) of their skill points. the tkm/mrifleman has more defense and more power than abhdoes.

imay be able to beat a person if im fully buffed and they are not (also if i have armor)otherwise the ham costs for my weak specials are huge.sure i can kd someonebut bythe time i get em kdedive used up a lot of ham and have very little left to spam specials with so i have to sit back and use the default attack until they get back up and killme

guess what? other professions cost that much too. go learn it from one of the millions of BH infesting the server

No they cost 1/10th of that. Most masteries only cost 10K (talked to a friend that has mastered 25 professions). Not to mention Inv I - IV alone costs 100K combined as well. Its a joke training costs so much for so little in return. Yeah you can go to a PC trainer. But the question remains: why is it so much more to train the BH skills than all other skills from an NPC trainer?

There are several pvp templates that are quite effective for the MBH. My preference is MBH / 0 3 4 0 pistoleer.

After spending 217 skill points...why should I have to dabble in another combat profession in order to have an "effective template"....217 skill points should've gotten me that to begin with

I think it's a typo in their code. You know, kind of how our droids got slower as we went up in skill...well, instead of costing 10k it costs 100k to train.

Congrats!!!

Here are some general tips (cut and paste) :

I do not fight like I advise anymore (I can now run up to a Jedi and just start blazing away with success) but that has come with getting more experience, what I recommend here is what you should do for the first 10 kills or so, then you can start to develop your own style and tactics....

1. only attack if you have achieved complete and utter surprise.(meaning you can frontload a alot of damage). This will guarantee the jedi to be in a defensive position after the the first strike. You have forced him to think of only two things at this point, running or healing first AND then coming after you. .

2. Only engage if the Jedi, in addition to being completely surprised, is not buffed or his force is down, or he is engaed by MOBS or creatures. Even if you achieve utter surprise like #1 above but the jedi is not in a tough spot (in other words he is buffed and not distracted or engaged by other PvE activities) you can still lose dramatically even if you cause massive damage before reaction, so DON'T engage and follow this rule.

If you follow these two rules and drop the mission whenever you can not engage with these parameters, you will achieve success . There is nothing wrong in doing this. This is the BH way and Jedi's are 1.5 stronger for this reason.

3. Learn about foods and how they best compliment your personal template, seek out high energy resit armor, slice it for Armor break if possible. Find a good weapon with high damage that you can slice for speed. Add a power up to the weapon to let it produce even more damage (so cap damage with weaponsmith and Power up, slice speed).

4. Add a duelist macro (this is very important as it adds 250+ defense) this will help alot as well :

/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist

Be sure to use the following for deathblow so that the macro does not interfere:

/dump
/deathblow

I heard that duelist stance only gives ranged defense, useless against jedi.
