Anyway with that aside...
This tactic only works on weak templates...a Jedi with a decent amount of force armor/innate armor, with half a brain (some stims) can easally beat this tactic...Which is where the firedots, snares, knockdowns, etc. Come in...Nobody said this is all I do.
And don't hate someone becuase what they do works...maybe you should do the same instead of whining about it.

i guess u never seen SS's of when jedis friiends spam a BHs screen full of vehicle invites...or when a jedi jumps into a house and runs back out at full health to attack a BH, or the cloak and attack jedi style, or the LoS expoit jedi.....mmmmmm so many to list.

Like i said. It's a template issue...Someone with even 0040 defender i miss ALOT of the time..
Or those people with 4040 defender and x4xx enhancer. That you need to shoot for 20 minutes straight. Doesn't work on there either. People cannot choose a crappy template becuse they want to be "different" and then complain about it later. It doesn't work like that. You had a choice, you made the bad one. End of story.

oh yah go ahead and say its in the game and working as intended, but when they changed the combat system so you dont just use one move over and over its not being used by the players as intended
up coming patch longer delay timer on startle shot, it wont last as long on a target, and also wont do any dmg when used
you cry to devs when they start nerfing moves and keep changing prof on you
its just wrong to fully take someone out of a fight for the entire duration of the fight and thats what this move does so it will be changed here soon watch and see
I couldn't agree more with this statement. I find the MNAY roots and mezzes are WAY off balance. I'm a MCM myself and I do rely on the Paralyze state, but this state is VERY different from Concusion shot, Startle shot, Stopping Shot, and Stasis....it doesn't do ANY damage.
I've had a Jedi kill me with STASIS ALONE! These types of things along with LAG are killing the combat of this game...seriously....
Laggy combat
For anyone that DOESN'T want to look, let me describe it:
There are two MAJOR things that bother me about this combat log.
First is the damage Stasis causes...each hit of Stasis causes over 300 damage that CANNOT be healed while under Stasis. You do the math there...we all have around 3K health bars...10 hits of Stasis and you are dead. This Jedi decided to use both Stasis and Improved Saber throw for a KD. Works like THIS....
KD = 400+ damage
Stasis = 300+ damage
Now your on your back for 40 seconds....this Jedi actually meditated in between the Saber throw-Stasis attacks.
Okay fine, so there is nothing you can really do to prevent this "chain paralyze" wait of death.
But hey....look at the TIMES of the LAG...
Look at 21:35:12 and
21:35:14
These attacks were actually executed BEFORE I was Knocked Down...they were done BEFORE 21:35:05....yet my character didn't actually TRY to do them till 7 seconds latter.
Sometimes it's just not a "fair" fight. I really would like to see damage removed from attacks that prevent healing and/or attacking back.
Although your tactics of spamming startle shot isn't an exploit. I'd put it in the same catagory as fight-clubbing. something thats not an exploit, but realy should be.
Any special that has root, snare, daze, paralysis, etc. should realy have a long cooldown timer. not to balence Jedi-BH fights, but to balence LARGE SCALE pvp fights.
The thing I don't get about the combat log (which could support the jedi's claim that someone else offered rides) is this,
at the end your paralyze and then get two sniper shots off. You repeat this. Okay he is snared so he moves slow, there isn't a KD or anything so you are standing up and re-paralyzing him within 15m
The kicker is - this guy used saber throw for attacks. Okay, maybe he was out of force. (some how I doubt it)
The delay before he started sending you the exploit tells reminds me of when I get hit by the offer ride exploit... anyway, who knows - his claim that a 3rd party offered him a ride could be true. Hopefully he reported them to the CSR. As to the third party working in conjunction with you - who knows. If the guy is a known loud mouth - I'd be willing to bet some 3rd party thought it would be cute to mess up his day. (The fight was in theed right??)

I disagree....it should only have a cool down TWICE the lenght of the state IF it does damage when applied.

/concussion
/disarm
/paralyze
/panic
missing any ? even if the timer is 2x the duration (which would suck for smugglers.) There are enough of them that can all fit in the same template quite easily
