And if your PSG is 2100 energy resistance and you are using a recon armor of like what 6k... then you have a total energy resistance of 8100. Now if the jedi drops his saber and starts punching you. That is kinetic damage by default. Unless they have changed the base type of a lightsaber since a few minutes ago a PSG works to mitigate damage from a jedi that is attacking.
Energy weapon or no, PSG do not work against LS, period. This was made clear by the devs right after the CU. We've tested this in-guild with jedi attacks.

I am a MBH/MCM/x-4-x-x Carbineer, I have a proton carbine aswell as enchancers for my DoTs and nothing has worked, I was even killed by a lvl 56 week old jedi, im am starting to be considered a joke by the few jedi who know me and its also starting to get depressing (im not really depressed, but annoyed to the fullest extent)
I have taken advice from many many people and none of it has worked, and then I come on here and read about people slaughtering jedi with the same strategy, and i dont know why or what I am doing wrong. I apply my debuffs, run away and then I get KD before I can heal and end up dying. At this point WoW is starting to look really good....I justdont know anymore, this CU has made some aspects of SWG more fun, and ruined the best part......Bounty Hunting, at least it has for me anyway.
Im really confused, I take advice and read strategys all day but I can never use them effectively.
Am I really a lost hope??
There is nothing wrong with your hunting system, skills, weaponor anything - you are in exactly the same boat as ALL other BH...
...you just plain suck!
