go buy a laser rifle with 82 SAC and over 985 max damage...thats what you should be using.You ALWAYS want your rifle to have capped SAC..no SAC=no shooting=no damage no matter what the max is on it. once you make some money buy a krayted laser rifle but always make sure it has 82 SAC.
I have 10 mil creds so I bet I could find one.
and thanks, I'm gonna go look for evena better one. That laser was only 75k, cheap, so I bought it

1. Only attack if you have achieved complete and utter surprise.(meaning you can frontload a alot of damage). This will guarantee the jedi to be in a defensive position after the the first strike. You have forced him to think of only two things at this point, running or healing first AND then coming after you.
2. Only engage if the Jedi, in addition to being completely surprised, is not buffed or his force is down, or he is engaed by MOBS or creatures. Even if you achieve utter surprise like #1 above but the jedi is not in a tough spot (in other words he is buffed and not distracted or engaged by other PvE activities) you can still lose dramatically even if you cause massive damage before reaction, so DON'T engage and follow this rule.
If you follow these two rules and drop the mission whenever you can not engage with these parameters, you will achieve success . There is nothing wrong in doing this. This is the BH way and Jedi's are 1.5 stronger for this reason.
3. Learn about foods and how they best compliment your personal template, seek out high energy resit armor, slice it for Armor break if possible. Find a good weapon with high damage that you can slice for speed. Add a power up to the weapon to let it produce even more damage (so cap damage with weaponsmith and Power up, slice speed).
4. Add a duelist macro this will help alot as well, here is one I found on this forum:
/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist
/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist
Be sure to use the following for deathblow so that the macro does not interfere:
/dump
/deathblow
/deathblow

Forget doin Jedi missions for a few days. Your first goal is to do NPC Bounties until you loot a set of 4 or 5 power cells that are 180+ damage. A set of scopes wont hurt either. Even the 10-12 accuracy ones with good negative speed mods will do. Then seek out the best weaponsmith you can find to craft your rifle. Final stats you will be looking for are 82 SAC(capped) and max damage at or above 1100. Damage slicing caps around 1150 for HLR and 1183 for ALR, those are the goals for slicing, any customization left over can be used at your discretion. I use a SAC powerup personally, lowers my rifles to a lvl where action is not an issue. But again this is whatever works best for you. Hopefully this puts you on the path to success.

Alot better. Now that that sucker to a smuggler and get a slice on it. AND for Gawds sake dont ask for the best slice there is...they hate that. Also get you some better armor. the clone armor is okay but there are better armors out there. Try some Recon armor with a AB slice. it should protect around 8K energy resist.

Just gota better weapon than the 'Advanced Laser Rifle - Krayt' that I had and here it is. It's the gun with '*ifoni*' in the title not the first one. I took screenies of it with different pups on it and Tomorrow I'm gonna test it out.
