"Does it help vs dodge/CA/Block/DA or only vs melee/ranged defence?"

That's actually a really good question.

I believe that the "evasion" abilities activate when the player is hit. Since accuracy merely determines if you hit someone or not, then it should only work against melee and ranged defense.

As far as I understand it, this is correct. The initial "roll" is merely to see if a character is hit, which would be Accuracy versus Defense, and if hit another "roll" takes place to see if the hit is evaded/blocked/countered.

You know I was thinking last night...

In PvE there are commonly complaints that high-end creatures like ancient krayts and super battle droids and nightsister elders can't be dodged, counterattacked, etc. I wonder why that is. Does accuracy at really high levels affect those abilities? Do certain NPCs get special abilities that cancel out evasion? Or is it all in the players' heads?

accuracy isnt a problem for TK since its so high and we hit so fast. However try accuracy when your a novice swordsman, or even 0/0/0/4, HUGE difference

It only matters if you use a PH. 2h Curved have got +25 in range and they are also great damagedealers. I didnt miss much when I was a novice pikeman either. Its all about what you use.

Just a quick question,

I recently broke the bank and bought myself a +25 to accuracy and 2 x +5 to accuracy while moving. Now, I thought this might actually let me hit a jedi, so i dueled one. Well, out of the shots i got out before i got incapped (no synth steak etc, just wanted to see what i'd hit with) I only hit once! What a load of crap! I now have over 150 accuracy and still cant hit anything!

it's not like dodge, saber block is random doesnt matter how much accuracy you have they will still block most of your shots. Try using aim then your best attack like stopping shot. Just experiment tell them to stand still while you try different things to hit them.

Nothing affects lightsaber block. NOTHING.

Not blind.

Not stun.

Not intimidate.

Not more accuracy.

Not more ideal range.

Lightsaber block is a percentage chance to block each shot, ranging from 15% at novice lightsaber to 85% at master lightsaber. NOTHING affects it.

If I'm right, this only works against their ranged defense modifier. I've found that increased accuracy works great in PvP...just not against Jedi.
