I'm a pretty new padi here (about 2 weeks honestly) but because of that and because I finally finished off the FS grind (which I'd been working on since a week after pub 9) much faster than I expected in the last 3 days of 2x xp with my guild I got caught way behind in my reading so I've been doing a LOT of it to figure out my own template. As far as the healer, you can probably get away with 2/0/0/0 IF you also have some good stims to use. Novice gives you a 500 heal, 1000 at 2/0/0/0, and 1500 at 4/0/0/0. Personally from what I've seen/heard/read I'm going for the 4/0/0/0 because 1500 heals plus stim's will really help especially because I'm not going MDef.
That brings the next point. You don't "need" MDef, you can get effectively the same amount of innate armor with 4/0/x/x or 0/4/x/x Def and Enh x/4/x/x BUT the downside is it costs force to put the FA on, and every time you get hit it costs force. So if the fight is long or big, you may not be around long if you're in the middle of it. Also Enh x/4/x/x and MDef is not really worth it from what I've seen because the percentage of defense increasefrom the stacking of the Def innate and the force armor from Enh goes steadily down the higher your Def innate armor mod is. Can't explain it too well here, there is a post around here talking about it though.
So, I guess if you are looking at being a tank but just for short fights where you can regen force in between, you'd be ok with force armor. If you want to be able to tank for a longer time, you're probably going to want the regular innate from defender unless you will have another jedi that can transfer force to you during the fight. Personally after over a year of TKM and TKM/Mswords/Mbrawler I'm tired of playing tank/damage dealerand am at this time planning on LS 0404, MEnh, Heal 4100, and likely Def 4040. Also on that the xx4x from Def (force Aura) is supposed to help a lot, if I understand right it's kind of a "center of being" for jedi.
