Thread: im sad for the BH community, any vet Bh's out there?
The issue isn't how long you've been a BH. How you've strived through this or that bug.
The issue isn't really all about daft childish players, becuase everygame that has internet multiplayer will have this problem.
How many respec BH aint a problem either, most will give it up after a while once the see it isn't as glamarious and as all powerfull as it's made up to be.
The issue is, has been, and untill somethings done, all ways will be.
There are now, far too many jedi.
It doesn't matter how long you have played (because back in the good ole days there were few jedi's and perma death, so a vet BH doeszn't really get all that respect he's looking for), Because the jedi populationthat's the problem RIGHT now.
All these jedi will grow in power by the hour. And the only way to stop that, was to have a profession that can hunt them.
But very slowly and surely the MBH profis having it's abilites and hunt rights chistled away. some of the things done i agree were done becuase of griefing, greifing anyone or any profession is a problemI don't like either, so I don't mind non grief measures taking place.
What I do mind is non grief measures that have more, "so they can't grief people anymore", than an actuall usefull constructive alternative.
MOST of the MBH arent happy. If we start to loose the BH we have to this, then we truly will have JEDI KNIGHTS ONLINE.
Because no matter how many bugs jedi have, they still have more glamour and a more starwarsy feel than BH's currently have, It would take quite alot more for the jedi's to start quitting to. For some of them just being able to actually walk into town and light up a sabre is worth their monthly subscription.
The reality if things arent changed will come about that other people on mmorg will eventually say..
"SWG ..nah don't play it anymore, there's just loads of jedi pvps running about now it's daft"

actually being a vet bh, does not nececarily mean you played for 2 years+, it jsut means you have patience and use your brain accordingly, and you are the bets of the best when it comes to pvp
my definition of respec bh is this:
Respec Bounty Hunter =1) someone who thoguht the village was to hard, and stupid because they couldnt respec all the FS skills, so they go Bounty HUnter expecting themselves to be l33t jedi killing machines instantly 2
a BH who spends 2 hours looking for a 40k mission on the terminals, then whines about how much time they waiste when half of them are on kashyyk and they have to go back to the terms and get another mish 3) a BH who see's that there mark isnt dueling so they dont want to wait for them to be at a substantial disadvantage so they drop the mission

Kind of strange we are going to the few and proud Bounty Hunter community and applauding the overpopulated Jedi mass. In a true SWG, this would be completely opposite
rofl
but then again SWG has almost nothing to do with Star Wars
Nice initial post. I love how Jedi come on our forums and pose as veteran Bounty Hunters. It is quite pathetic.
* I am an uber veteran Bounty Hunter who think that the publish is just outstanding! You silly noob Bounty Hunters should stop crying* (Signed with a big lightsaber at the bottom)
Any true Bounty Hunter can see the screwing we have taken, while even some Jedi are finally fessing up to agreeing with it.

i have been reading threads in this forum and as a2 yearold BH im absolutely disgusted
the way you treat people is insanely childish, immature, and embarrassing to me and the other REAL bh left out there
i jsut read a thread that a jedi psoted here talking about Pub 20, who clearly posted there opinions and asked yours in a clean, calm, and grown-up way, and you (not all of you, but many) trashed her like some kinda brainless noobs
if any of you people truly believe that a proffesion chosin in a computer game is grounds for negative judement and appualing insults, your gravely mistakin
just because some one chose jedi, does not mean there mean, stupid, or disurving of your behavior as people
and here all you (sorry to use this insult) respec nooblet bh's are dropign the proffesion and quiting the game (some of you) bceause of the recent publish
if you think that was bad, plz....
back before you people even started playing this game, there were far worse nerfs to BH, FAR worse...
in my opinion GOOD RIDINCE (spelling)...now the bh community will be back to the few, the proud, and the self controled honorable men we were along time ago before it was infested with "pretenders"
im probably going to be flamed by my own community but i dont care, i would like any and all BH that have been BH for 2 years or more to post, because this thread is honoring you
thx

thank you, i can see your one of the few vet bh
remember when there were like only 10 bh on each server? lol
Thats cos most died of starvation at their keyboards doing the inv grind pre speeders, walking 5000m to a mark that was underground. And master dancers had better defences : /
Or the ones that would spawn over water just as you got there and Mission failed.
I dont think I ever did a mission on Lok back then, I would drop them and hope for something better. Walking across lok was not a fun affair.
Of course since I had master scout I was able to harvest alot of meat/hides and made a pretty good nest egg in the beginning months of the game.
it took me so long to grind out investigaton, i got like 5 bugged missions in a row , walking to each of them....it was like 4 hours for no xp
yeah those were the days lol

I grinded out Bounty Hunter a long time ago then droped it once I went to Rifleman. Then I respeced back to it post CU and I dont think ive ever beenmocked for such a dumb reason for such a long time. I always get the comment respec n00b from Jedi I either kill or die from... I even getmockedby other Boutny Hunters. I know that some Respec BHs can beidiot's but don't you think it's a little stereo typical to label every single Respec guy a noob? I'm sticking with the profession and I don't want to be labeled a Respec n00b for the rest of the time I play this game
I don't think the majority of BH's out there would consider what you did as being a "noob respec". Personally, I get bothered by the people that come to me with a master BH badge on and ask me why the mission waypoint doesn't show up when they pick a mission from the terminals or what do they need droids for and etc. So no, you've had some experience in the field there is no reason why anyone would call you a "noob respec" and you shouldn't feel that yourgetting labeled.
There really isn't an easy way to convey the feelings towards respecs because it's not your fault that SOE, in their infinite wisdom, gave everyone a free pass to respec all their skills into something else they didn't know anything about. I actually spoke to a master weaponsmith after the CU went live and told him I thought about respeccing to master weaponsmith so I could make some of my own weapons...the master weaponsmith I was speaking to just laughed. I'm sure he was thinking along the lines of "Yeah, sure...you don't know the first thing about weaponsmith...good luck with that" and he was right. What would jedi's think if a full-template jedi coming up to them and asking what the shrines scattered around the planets were for...I'm sure there would be alot of laughing followed by a feeling of helplessness that some people had something handed to them and had no idea how much it means to the person that worked hard for what they got.
