Thread: i fear post publish 20 Bounty Hunters
I'll also take NeoEcks' statement as the compliment it was intended to be.
I was intially concerned with the changes Pub 20 would bring, and sorta pissed off. But I've kinda come around.
As someone else stated, the whole Jedi-BH relationship had the made the process very sour. These changes should greatly improve the tension between players. Which, I have come to decide, is the most important aspect.
Still miffed with'losing the names'. Seems to make hunting revolve even more round the droids.
What still concerns me though is how much Jedi will come to dominate the GCW - by dominating PvP. I joined this game to play Star Wars. I will always reckon that more blasters should be seen than sabres.
Just seems the best way to achieve that would be by removing Jedi Visibility issues from players hands. Let NPCs moderate Jedi presence; that or other Jedi. A level playing field should reduce the tension, or at least constrain it to one profession

i am enjoying the tone of this thread. with the exception of the first few replies we have a constructive and well thought out thread here.

Too bad I couldnt find the paddys that were in this group on the terms. I would have liked to cleard this group out.
I will try hunting in pub 20. But many a paddy will die a horrible death.

i don't have a Jedi on bria so i don't know how it works there, but on Bloodfin Padawan are the prime target of MOST (i did not say "ALL") of the full template CL 80 MBHs anyway, so it will not change for them much. the reasoning given is 'to slow the progress of Jedi' though some believe it is just the easy kill they are after.

On bria, whenever I am asked about targets, their payout is always higher than 130k. I've only heard of a new respec BH going for lower. (and me since it was the first post CU hunt and I didnt' want to look like a fool) 
On your first post- I consider myself to be a 'hardcore' bh and would normally stay through pub 20 as well but the game overall is just sickening to watch slide down. I just believe the devs lost thier long-term goals. Heck I wouldnt mind of BH was as weak as it was pre CU, I was still able to kill mediocre-level Jedi then. It's just that the devs have no idea how to make long term plans IMHO.
i keep reading posts saying how publish 20 is going to 'kill' real bouny hunters...

i am telling you right now, a few weeks post patch 20 the only bounty hunters left will be the REAL Bounty Hunters.
those are the Bounty Hunters to fear
those are the Bounty Hunters to respect
those are the Bounty Hunters that i expect will kill my toon as often as be defeted by it.
Publish 20 is NOT the make or break of the Bounty Hunter profession...it is the Make or Break of the player behind the toon. it is a measure of intestinal fortitude, determination and skill. those who pass the test, as i said, are to be both feared and respected.

the REALLY SCARY Bounty Hunters. the Hunters with the skill to take out a Full Template Jedi solo more often than not. the Hunters you always HOPE don't pick your misson.
Post Publish 20...when i hear that music and know i have been agroed...THAT is going to be terrifying
Jedi hunting has always been about opportunity for me anyway, If I don't wait til the right time, I am the idiot and deserve to die!! I have occasionally got bored and went ahead and struck, and died, but had fun doing it!! I was bored! Nothing about these proposed changes will change the way I hunt in the least... If you are Jedi, on the terms, and online....

I dont' have MBH yet ( but I'm close), and I've never hunted a Jedi (yet, but that will change). I'm the cautious type. I'm taking my time and learning my profession WELL. Why be in a hurry to become a respec MBH. You get there and know NOTHING. Well, I won't be one of those. I'm gonna give 20 a chance, against my better judgement.
I have a plan. It might not work, I might fall flat of my a$$ and never master the technique. Then again, it might just work for me.
If 20 comes and I become a FT Jedi, you'll know what happened.
