Thread: What happened?

So I go out to kill some NS on Dathomir, like I've done a hundred times before. I get full buffs, check my armor(all between 85 and 90% base), and head out. I take out a few protectors, spellweavers, no problem since i'm speed capped with an awesome acklay PH. So then, I run into a stalker and a spellweaver. Neither of them had a stun baton, but they tore through me in about 30 seconds, hardly use any force powers either. I looked at my combat log and my armor was preventing about two points of damgae each time. So I'm mad, of course.
So I figure I'll go kill krayts with a friend. We find a canyon krayt, it's almost dead, when it decides it's going to kill me in two hits. Once again, I check my armor and it is all still between 85 and 90%. So, is there any explanation for this?

Are you wearing a full suit of armor or just helm gloves boots and chest plate. I've done this befor with ns and kryats and they seem to tear through you if your not wearing a full suit.

I had a similar problem. But, my armor said it was protecting properly. However, I was still getting hit for much more than usual. A couple hundred or so. No stun weapons. I got beat up with a battleaxe of some sort. I don't understand it. On well. I had stims. But, it was still really frustrating.

I was under the impression that Bounty Hunter was going to be tuned for 1 vs 1 combat, and MBH would be 'desirable' (anyone remember that?).
Now almost all BH specials are AREA ATTACKS (oh yeah, I WANT all 23 lvl 82 pikets coming at me while grinding) and our mbh skill improved duelist stance does nothing for hunting jedi?
I find this very disappointing, a slap in the face to the bounty hunter community. I have been mbh for some time (sprayshot rocked the old system) but now I think I am going to respec out of it to get some useful specials.
I have been on several jedi hunts, and it is very disheartening to look at my toolbar and start marking off those specials that will be useless for hunting my mark: almost all of them are bh specials.

depends on what weapon your useing while useing a de-10 (ive gone MBH/Mpistoler for a laugh on my alt still a melee BH like i said so) ive been able to use all my BH specs and only agro 1 thing at a time just make sure the creature your fireing at isnt to clouse to the others or they will all agro. (try and use a CH to lure 1 from the pack)

well, i only grinded to get enough points into elite profs to respec stuff around.
I plan on hunting jedi almost all of the time. And, my confusion, I thought that suppression was a bh, its carbineer.
Still, torso is pretty worthless, I have yet to stick improved confusion OR blind on a mark, and we get no snares or roots.
It just really seems to me that the bounty hunter profession is not tailored for hunting jedi. Sprayshot used to be awesome, now it is a joke.

I had no problems hunting Jedi this weekend. Confussion Shot worked great. I was able to land KD on them with little problems (although they do get right back up with KD recovery). Advanced Critical Shot is so nice. I didnt really use Eye Shot or Torso Shot since I couldnt stick blind and the dot from Torso just wasnt worth it since the fights didnt last real long (one of us was either dead within 30 secs or the Jedi ran into a house). I do have smuggler so I use the root and snare from there. Overall I really enjoyed hunting Jedi this weekend and of the dozen or so marks I had they were all cool with it afterwards. Even the ones that ran into hiding they were very cool about being hunted and actually enjoyed it but jsut didnt want to loose the xp. Most were more than willing to duel me for the reward with no DBs and they were even the ones that offered. The key is if you show the Jedi respect then 9 times out of 10 you both have a good time.

I used to like carbines for the states, now it seems pistols have that role if a bit close for my tastes.
I will have to try a bh/pistols/smuggler/cm temp next time i respec
concussion is from smuggler right? it seems that shot lasts forever. a conc and adv stop, might not be bad.

after becoming a MBH about a year ago I decided to move on to a new server.
went tka/smuggler (lol) then when CU cameout I stopped playing.
I resently logged on to my MBH on the 6th respeted it (lost my master title somehow no biggie)
and sith shadow spawnded an the beach in kadarra and attacked me talking about the old man.
so naturaly I responded with a blast with my carbine......only what realy happened........
my carbine (laser) answered back with 143 damage thewy responded with 1500 damage incaping me in 2 shots.... somuch for the CU with skill/armor..... so while laying there I take a closer look at the mobs that use to be so easy u could kill them without being at our computer....OMG they were lvl 75 and 77....im only 55 hm the only thing missig is my master title that I somehow lost and 3 boxes in pistoleer. (ill re-respect to fix it when the alow it again)..
what am I doing wrong. my armor is good I enhanced myself with food and drink even used a drug and went at them again......las carb does 121 damage (sould be 255-486) spray shot they do over 1500 a shot got me again in 3 hits. (somuch for armor) they were doing energy damage my armor is 80% resist. so now im here writing going to make a new toon on a new server try to figure this out and ask my self isa this realy worth it....

well Im a major SWG fan,,,my god Im crazy i have 3 accounts....
but I just cant seen to figure out this new CU... Ive been so fustrated I had canceled all 3 of my accounts but desided to give it one more try and reactivated my main...

yeah, you could fight a hamster... if its 20 levels higher than you, it will whoop you not matter how much food or armor you have... and if its 20 levels lower, you'll own it. Damage in pve is based largely on levels... for every 1 level higher a creature is than your level, it will do some percentage more damage to you regardless if its a rancor or a hamster.
