Thread: Why are we forced to play a MULTI-Playergame SOLO?!?
For months now, I have heard complaint after complaint from many of us Jedi about how we are forced to play alone in a MMORPG, and I recall EVERY SINGLE thread ever mentioning that, there were always hordes of BH's to come into the thread to tell us all how we chose to play the profession, so we should just shut up and deal with it.... I find it like poetic justice that with the pub 20, group viz is removed so we can now enjoy the MMORPG aspect of the game without having to worry about you BH's coming to show how uber you and your buds are by ganking a level 50 Paddy, and now it is the BH's whining about "having to play alone."
This is the part where I take great pleasure in pointing out to you that BH is a tough profession, and hunting Jedi should not be a picnic, if you can handle that, then maybe you could try to play another profession.

read some of the posts in this forum about templates and strategies and try them out and find one you like.it isn't impossible to solo full temps, but it is very difficult. almost every day there's like 5 new template threads made, and there's a thread with like 300 replies stickied at the top, read those, find out what other people are doing and learn how to do it yourself. if you have to take a couple days off of hunting so you can gather up some new gear or get some more money to buy stuff, no big deal its not like the jedi are leaving any time soon.

The answer is yes, there's a guy floating around here with proof that 226k knights can be killed by lone bounty hunters. He does it.

Ok, not a flame but a serious question here. Were you saying that it wasnt right Jedi were forced to play the game solo for 1 year+ if they wanted to progress? BH cant have it both ways, if you want to be able to solo a Knight, then you'll have to DO it solo. If you want the chance to gank, then we should be multiple times stronger. Choice was yours and it seems most people wanted to solo, so you've got what you wanted
I agree but I think that if we are not allowed to gank Jedi should not even be a little bit better or 1.5 times better than normal professions. They should be the same. If it is going to be one on one from here on out then they should put everyone on an equal playing field.

In that case can i have the wasted months of my life grinding wank profession to unlock, then hiding out on a mountain solo killing things for 500 exp, getting chased by ganksqauds back?
No disrespect to BH, but you have done nothing to warrent being the equal of my Jedi in power. That is why us even being seperated by 0.5 is a mockery. And yes, i was BH before Jedi and after. Jedi does not compare to anything in the game (although this group exp-rubbish is making it a joke compared to previously) and i would be highly insulted if my Jedi was nerfed to the power of my main and alt.
Truthfully, can you look me in the eye and say after doing jedi 'the right way' i should be nerfed to the lvl of my own alt that was completed in a number of days has had 0 risk involved, ever?
edit: Incase you wanted to know my feelings on the Jedi issue. I want MORE risk and the power to go with it, not less. Why eb a Jedi if it means nothing, bring back TEf, bring back real penelties fro dying, bring back the power. Make me a Jedi dammit, not a TKM+flashlight

Way I see it if you wasted your life playing this game I am sorry. However it says in the message on the load screen that "playing experiences can change without notice". I really think an alpha class is not good for an MMORPG, no other game has them why does SWG?
Also I think I have done plenty to warrant an even playing field when it comes to pvp as I dedicate all my playing time to pvp.

there are some templates that i tried to kill 226k Jedi, the only template i can get them down is MBH, MCM and some carbine.
But i dont like to be CM...but i have to if i want to win...
BTW, my main problem at this time is not to get them down but to find one thats not on Kashyyyk...
I am maybe a noob in your eyes, but i dont have the time to play 70h a week to improve my skills, i do have a job, family and frinds...
I just want to have fun...but its not fun to see a SW game without the "special" SW feeling....
You have to realize all the old paradigms are dead. This game is no longer even remotely between Ep. 4-5. BH used to be player-enforced content control, now they're just nucances to the only profession this game is about. We all know more than 9 in 10 play this game to be a Jedi, so what's the point of carrying on with thecharades. Jedi is the only real profession, all others are stepping stones to that goal, in one way or another.
SWG is NOT Star Wars. It's just a failed experiment at providing an MMORPG in the classic trilogy's timeline. For a number of reasons the game has been handed over to Jedi. I'm not saying that's good or bad, just the way it is.
When SWG launched, you probably envisioned at most a dozen Qui-Gonn-type Jedi in each galaxy, i.e. honorable players with the highest quality character and integrity, having to be in hiding given the circumstances of the galaxy. This fantasy would be incredibly cool is there was any way to translate it to in-game reality. However, there's no way whatsoever to translate the "ideal" Jedi character into a system where that would be your end result. Instead, we're left with thousands of 1337 d00d power gamers who aren't interested in role-playing a Jedi, they just want to slap glowsticks in Theed.

Hey ya win some ya loose some. got a 50/50 average out of the 2 bh missions i did today. First mission. I died after a very hard fought battle. He just got a small break n killed me. The second mission was a joke. It was the yang to the first missions yin. I pwned this full temp easily.
Take some time to learn your template before bashing about jedi being too powerful. Both were 226k missions by the way.
