So, I thought I'd do what a lot of folks do here and share my first "real" kill. I say real only because my only other was a clone hit.

I've been keeping /notes of every mark I take, adding what I did right and what I did wrong. Where I found them and what guilds they were in. That sort of stuff. Eventually I got enough info to realize I needed bliels, I sometimes attack too early, and realistically, I'll never win a duel straight up. So, using that knowledge I went into the field tonight telling myself I would be patient this time. I did that because my mark was at the FS training place on Dathmoir, which means he'd probably be dealing with phase 4 and I'd be driving for 10 minutes anyway.

So I get to the location and have already got his name off my droid. He's a padawan, supposedly, but grouped up with a few other people and wiping out Sith Shadow outlaws like there's no tomorrow. Knowing I'll only die via the Sith and him if I attack em now, I hold off and wait 70m away behind the walls of the village. Eventually I see him healing slower, his friends dying off, and him having to deal with more at once. While I've been waiting I had to kill like 4 Sith, two at a time, which for my MRangering self was a waste of a heal on each pair.

In any case, I see no one is helping him, finally, and move out slowly opposite the sith that are attacking him. Once his health goes below 25% I immediately hit em with a bleed hoping he won't even notice I'm there, manage to fire a few more shots, but he spots me and tries to throw his saber. I knock him down and the 8 or so sith he was fighting finally do him in and start in on me. Luckily I was running towards him as he spotted me, so I /deathblow while healing off the hits these sith freaks are giving me, /bow and /burst off. Turns out he was worth 225k, so certainly was a decent level had I actually had to take him on full-force.

In any case, he didn't send any /tells so I gather he knew that he let his guard down and got what was coming to em because of it. So yeah, my first kill as a MRanger/MBH/0300 SL. Considering I died to a lvl 65 just yesterday, I thought it best to at least share one of my few accomplishments in pvp here.

The moral remains true: Patience is good, especially if they think you're just another Jedi-in-progress at the training camp, instead of a risk to their life.

Patience is a virtue

To bad I never considered myself a virtuous person
