It is my speculation. I mean if they did add them sooner what would they add for us during the space expantion? Becuase for expantions they try to make them offer each proffesion something new and better.

Nobody wants to see some novice noboady running around with a kick but Combat Droid, just like they don't want to see that same NN runing around with a Racor! The Master Droid Engineer Needs to be able to craft and use REAL combat droids. I a Master Artisan, and a Master Droid Engineer Most of my Skill Points are used up, I also am a Novice Pistoleer, a Novice Medic, and a Novice Creature Handler! with the two legs of scouting nessacry for the NCH. I Should be able to KICK major butt with my combat droids but becuase they can be sold or given to Novice Nobody The DEVS NERFED them!! If the CERT sys is fair then Droids will be like pets and novices cant buy, steal or trade for high end COMBAT droids. Then the DEVs can unnerf the Probot and allow us the real Combat Droids, Trooper and Droidika. There are other combat droids but i don't know there names. Droidika are the spearical rolling droids with personel shields, Top of the line, that Obi-Won and Qion had to run away from!
My suggestion is this, implement a cert system for the COMBAT Droids, leave the rest alone! Then allow the Master DE to control Three just as the Master CH. Allow the DE to Repair {Heal Damage} druing combat, And Fix {Tend Wounds} In camp or a portable shop, or when the LE Rpair Droid is out. there is no need for an elite elite profession the Master Creature Handler Is not a elite elite profession nither should the Master Droid Engineer!!
This would in essence fis the power issue of combat droids. C3P0 and R2D2 did no heavy fighting in the movies or books but the Combat Droids, drodikas and Troopers sure did!
Please help me push this to the DEV team so we wont have to give away the few remaining points we have just to be able to use our combat droids in some Elite Elite Profession!

In episode I when Ogi-won and Qui-gon werechased off of the Trade Federation Ship it was by the sphereical combat droids with personal shield generators. That is a Droidika! AND NO YOU MAY NOT HAVE IT!!!!
Heck the DEV thinks probots were too powerfull what makes you think the'll ever give us real combat droids?
Actually their supose to be in the next pacth, according to holocrons post on SRTATICS. That i will belive when i see it along with thr removal of droid permedie.
