Thread: Stop jedi gamebreaking hiding!
No Jedi in game is 1.5 times stronger at this time, theres no FRS. the whole point of the hunting of Jedi was that when you became a Jedi you were stronger and being that there is no FRS and Jedi as as strong as any proff, the whole point of BH hunting them is mute and really void!

If you think BH is so fantastic, just play your BH alt. Simple solution.......cant you see? You have an option...you can play the 1.5 times stronger glowstick wielder and accept the risk of getting hunted.....OR you can join the so fantastic world of bounty hunting. Why do you complain? You have it all!

Maybe I wasn´t being clear about this....YOU HAVE AN ALT!
ALT= Alternative character. This character can be anything...as long as you dont choose to make him a jedi too, he can not gain vis, and thus wil not be hunted!
So...how many quests do you want me to name that you can do with your alt so that you dont gain any vis? 1? 5? 10?
Even better, just take a look at the badgelist...all those that are themeparks are quests that wont get your alt on the terms.
I did not spend time at the village to park the Jedi up once I have finished the grind, I want content for my Jedi that does not give vis, just like my alt has. I want to play my Jedi and not be harrassed!
How you spend your time is your choice. (Just dont spend it ruining for others) You knew you´d be hunted all along that looooong grind.
But there is a solution...You still will get vis, but you reduce the chance of being found by a bh by alot. You know the planet Kashyyk? Go run around with all the wookies...do every little quest they have to offer.....There you have your safe haven.
That is the key phrase there. Its my choice. And if I chose to sit afk in my house for hours on end, then its my choice and within the game options for all players, hence not an exploit. In addition, im not ruining your gameplay at all. So you came to hunt me and im afk, you can drop mission and get another. ITs not like you had to spend alot of time looking for me, since ive not left the same location. This means you've wasted what? 5 to 10 minutes time? There are more jedi missions out there you can get, so ive ruined nothing for you. The mission terminal has 1000s of missions on them, so get another.
The key here, is we are both using things placed into the game by soe for the exact purpose they were intended for. Because of this, it may not be something you like, or something I like, but in the end its something we both just have to get used to and deal with.

Seems to me Jedi were told that they ran these risks upon going Jedi. No one forced you to. I plan on running the risks. I can already kill most Jedi with my temp. Only the ones with crappy temps. lose to doc/swordsmans. My temp. is one that even the toughest jedi will find challenging. Jedi need to quit crying that things are too risky for them. Get over it. There are ways to hide. HIDE.
I have a BH on a different Galaxy. Jedi hiding in houses is a part of the profession. QUIT CRYING ABOUT IT. They knew the risks of being hunted when they became Jedi, and YOU knew the hassels you would have to put up with upon becoming BH's.
Both BH and Jedi need to can it and just fight. No more yelling "sploitz." No more whining. Just shut the hell up and deal with the cards that you were not dealt, but chose for yourself. Both of you essentially picked your poison and I am tired of hearing arguing coming from both sides.
Some of us were jedi before the CU went live, now its not the same game!

Jedi are NOT 1.5 stronger.
Why should Jedi be FORCED to play there alt?
You´re not forced to play their alt. BUT, as someone pursues jedi, they do it knowingly they will get hunted by BH´s. This cannot be a newsflash for anyone anymore. So, if you get tired of being hunted...tired of forced pvp...SOE was so kind as to grant you an extra character for free.
But what you want is your jedi without the risk of being hunted. Sorry, cant help you there...that´s something you should take up with the devs. I really really dont understand why this is so hard to understand for some people....

just to make a point:
nowhere in game are you told you will be hunted if you become a jedi. if you read the forums sure, but in game, nope.

It is kinda like that lady that sued Mac Donald's because of the hot coffee. Sure there wasn't a warning on the label, but you think by observing she would have figured it out.....
Starcloud wrote:
As it happens, the lady who sued McDonald's and won, did so because the employees there *were* at fault. Yes, coffee is hot. However, the coffee machine had been set by the employees to be considerably hotter than the operating instructions indicated. She ended up with first and second degree burns on the inside of her thighs; that could not have happened if the coffee machine had been set at the recommended temperature.
I wish that those careless employees had followed instructions instead of improvising. As a result of their carelessness, not only did they lose the court case, but McDonald's looked ahead and changed the apple pie from the flaky crust version to the much inferior baked crust bearclaw version.
Overseas they still use the flaky crust, perhaps because the rest of the world isn't as 'sue-happy' as the people of the USA. I'm peeved.
As for Jedi hiding... once at full template, when a Jedi can stop worrying about visibility and XP loss, the Jedi can once again participate in the game's quest, GCW, and mission content. Until then, it's damned boring. 80% of the game's quests involve fighting non-player characters that give visibility.
You don't generally see the padawans on the terminals except on rare occasions. What you do see on the terminals, and dueling in the streets of Theed, or the starport of Coronet, or the plaza of Dearic, are the full-template Jedi who no longer care about visibility.
It has prevented a few people from completing Jedi, mostly because they have quit the game in disgust after being harassed by BH after BH after BH due, not to the normal operation of the system, but to bugs that kept those jedi's names permanently on the terminals. It has had no effect on the majority of Jedi players.
The BH/Jedi mission mechanic just doesn't do what the creators thought it would do. It only slows down the grind, and not by much. It irritates people for no reason. It attracts the worst sorts of players to the BH and Jedi professions. And it has a terrible effect on the rest of the game because both sides continually call for basic systems, skills and combat mechanics to be changed.
IN short, the BH mission system was appropriate for the permanent death era. Now, it only causes anger and frustration. As the rest of the game has changed, the BH mission system needs to change as well.
The particular details I don't know. I do know that without visibility or some sort of penalty for 'lighting off' that saber, even the Jedi who just got Novice Lightsaber will be showing off, so there does have to be a penalty, and a fairly severe one at that. However, permanent death is out and it's *not* coming back. Neither is the Saber TEF, it seems, which is a bit of a shame. That *did* discourage people from showing off their lightsabers in the starports.
My point by the Mac Donalds thing was only to say that she knew the coffee would be hot even though there was no warning on the cup. The jedi should know by observation and talk IN GAME that they will be hunted by BH. It was also said before that being a Jedi would not be easy, and frankly it still isn't hard enough.
P.S. Make coffee in your coffee pot and pour it on yourself. You will end up with 1st and 2nd degree burns too.

removing xp loss isnt the solution. You all knew what you were getting into when you, of free will, went jedi. Instead jedi should learn to stay off the terms and understand that jedi is a hermit, solo profession. Or accept the consequeses of thier behavior.
Next plz?
you did know about the house hiding before you started so cry more Noob
