Yeah I got that same problem with my stun baton, you would think that if the elemental dmg was working it would show up in the combat spam since in 'verbose' it shows every possible thing imaginable.

I hope they really beef up elemental damages. Id like to see my [currently obsolete] various layers become effective. I spent alot of time getting the resources to layer to specific elements.

Don't worry give it a few years and they'll be useful for the moment though Primus are the best unless your looking for specialist like high energy recon/high kin assault.

Does anyone know how this works? Or more importantly how it fits into the overall damage output of a specific weapon. The reason I ask is that I have an E11 that is pretty nice, but I also have a laser carbine that is close to it. The laser carbine has elemental damage where my E11 does not. So I am wondering is the laser carbine going to add enough damage overall to out damage the E11? Is this just unmitigated damage if they dont have that type of elemental protection? Basically, I just dont have a clue what elemental damage is and how it works. Any help would be appreciated.

Elemental Damage is basically added to the damage of a weapon. For example you fire an energy typeweapon with 500-800 damage and 150 acid elemental damage. You might hit for 600 with the weapon and the 150 will get added to that. Giving you 600 of energy damage and 150 acid damage or 750 total damage. Think of it as guarenteed damage from the weapon.
