Thread: Why on earth don't we get some kind of armor break?

Its fully possible ot go m.bh/m.rifleman and get 0-0-4-0 brawler for the armor break, you would lose something like healing, but thats the type of choice a jedi has to take.

Not really, Jedi can armor break and heal just fine. They can force heal and then complement it with stims. Melee can armor break and get CM healing. Ranged can get CM healing but can't armor break. No real decisions to be made. Almost every melee and Jedi I have encountered has great healing abilities and also has the armor break skill. It is known that armor break is overpowered as is so I think a nerf isn't far off in the future. I mean really as it is a Jedi or melee with armor break can deal aroun 1100-1300 damage per hit, even if you can heal you are pretty much toast.

Isn't there a new kind of slice for smugglers? Forgot what it was called, but it resists armor break. From the sounds of it on the smuggler forums, it works wonders on armor break. And you don't need to use any skill points to get it either.

We don't have access to armor break and healing. Healing is a MUST in this game now, unfortunate but true. Now tell me how a BH can have a viable template with armor break and healing and still be able to hunt Jedi as an MBH. Can't be done.

Plus my point is get rid of armor break and root and we might have a game.

How about his spin: Get your armor sliced for armor break resistance, then you wont need an armor break of your own. Jedi do not have access to armor break resistant armor. You can negate armor break without even having to spend skill points, so why is it overpowered?

Because stais is a master enhancer special and is ranged (upto 32m). Why CMs have paralyze? You are asking too 'smart' questions.

In fact jedi forcearmor cap at 10000, and the best regular recon armor caps at 8000.


So it would be fair with the armor break for MBHs. Jedi also got both ranged and melee skills in thier skilltree. So why wouldn't we also have it?

Cap is 10k aka 60%. As for ranged AB, not possible, ranged would become very overpowered. Yes, jedi do get some minimal ranged abilities to keep up with kiting, that is all.






Lets just meet half way and get rid of armor break all together. While we are at it lets get rid of root as well. This would be a compromise as melee would give up something and so would ranged. Plus I think both specials are pretty stupid and take away from game play and fun in the fashion that spamming force drain used to.
