it used to be that our phen dart traps could make creatures stand completely still -- forever. So all we had to do was shot it. But it would take forever to kill one. So, another droid shoting at it helped. But the devs 'fixed' our little trap problem though

I generally try and get my probot into position where I want him to be once I pull a creature over into the area where I'll be killing / kiting. Then I'll tell him to stay, drag a critter over, do some damage, then yell for him to attack. Try and get the critter running circles around or near him, and let him just spin in place popping off shots every second or so. Works like a charm, and only seems to result in a dead droid if someone else interferes and screws up my attacks, or if a random spawn of NPCs pop up suddenly and decide they don't like nature boy here running around killing stuff near them, then I get all distracted like.

which made the game better and fixed a well-known and abused exploit.

Ok, now you get to wear my "mom" title for the day.
I agree with the above posters - droids do not make good tanks unless you are fighting creatures below level 30. Also keep in mind that if the creature does an area attack (which I think both Krayts and Goraxes do) the droid may get taken out by those so keep it far enough back it won't get hit too often.
And don't get a namby pamby droid like mine or it will run screaming at the first hit and you will never see it again.

What type of droid? what type of modules and anything else... thanks!!

The more popular is the Adv Probot with 110 med, combat, self repair mod (60+ at leaste), and decent armor...as an old guildie gave me mine, I cant say for sure how much they run these days.
Mine attacks for an avg of 100dps (the lowest I have seen it hit is 80), has 3700 armor, and as long as it doesnt pull a johnny five and run up to the target (and get out of my range), I can easily heal for 1200-1400 with novice CM and nice stims.
I throw the occasional bacta shot when either one of us gets around 1/2 way and the little bugger can even tank for me if I get incapped. (on one of these Uber bosses, he tanked thru 2 of my incaps, and survived to see me chalk up another kill)
Wouldnt leave home without him now

Yeah, they will come out to be lvl 30. I havent seen any with a higher lvl, but than again I havent really looked.
The DE forums help alot too, they have how much of anything will go into each skin. Very well written too.
