I am considering this template as well but just for fun. My guild jedi tell me that they can drop pets b4 they are useful even at low/mid level.

Don't forget that you have Suppression fire from Marksman as a Posture down attack. Almost as good as cripple strike from a pet, except that it takes up a shot in your combat queue. CH and BH for NPC marks, not bad, against Jedi, who knows, although I have seen a Jedi lead a Mutant Bull Rancor into one of the Dath outpost and just leave him there to agro on everyone. He did it twice. I used my Bull Rancor and my MasterRifleman skills to take him down, but was incapped by an NPC that just happened to not like me attacking a Rancor in his outpost. Still don't know who he was

I'm doing BH/CH as well, mainly because I always wanted to try playing a CH. (I used to play a BE, and wanted to see the other side of the fence.)
So far, nothing I've seen leads me to believe that this is a viable PvJ (or even PvP) template. Pet damage is meaningless to a buffed jedi, and they can take out any pet in a couple of hits. Basically, in my experience, the Jedi ignores the pet, goes for you, and then takes out the pet at their leisure afterwards.
It would be interesting if there were any tamable creature that wasn't vuln to lightsaber damage, but it does not appear that there are.

In a one on one fight between a BH/MCH and a Jedi, I think the pets will get their asses handed to them. However, I do think there would be some real value in that template if you were part of a strike team. Anything that increases combat confusion can only help you and I think a few BH's attacking in unison with 3 Master level pets would help to confuse and disorient the Jedi, possibly giving you and your combat team an edge in battle.

I'm trying this out as well. I think the trick to it will just be to keep them on the ground and dizzied. Hopefully, the combination of the pets and the weapon can do enough damage quick enough to take 'em down. But it might require dropping the LLC and Pistol lines and grabbing Carbineer so that you have more specials to hit them with while they are flopping on the ground.

I know my pets will die quickly, but if they are fast attack skins they will be able to hit the Jedi before he can respond with at least one special attack each, if not more, since it will be 2-3 hits per pet to kill them. And yes the jedi will probably go for me, however if my pets can get him down on his back before he reaches me im set, I will have to find out once I reach MCH.

at the risk of making you waste all that time leveling CH... i would say go for MCH, and try it out, if it works you will have truly created an original and effective PvJ template, and if it doesn't, go make yourself some cocoa and watch TV for a while

Nope, droids are not pets.
BUT... a CH can have out his pets AND a droid at the same time.

Yep 3 pets up to CL70 and a single droid, and even a faction pet if you are overt. At least last time I had a faction pet I could.

I am mbh/mch and am having alot of fun. Have had some great success with jedi with 7 kills to my name. The beauty is its also a very fun profession pve. When i get tired of running marks i go off out on a rare creature hunt and its marvellous.
I have some very good high ham pets with light armour in particular 2 BE oets with intimidate, strong poison , stun and dizzy attacks. Couple with an opening boom boom droid all but one jedi has turned and fled but been killed fleeing.
Oh i know its not the most efficient jedi killing template and youre screwed against higher skilled jedi but lets face it most are but its major fun.

This is the most important part of the above statement. Not to retract from the statement, but isn't fun why we are here?
