Now can you give us the ODDS of getting each type. I still bet the odds are in fovor of the bounty hunter winning 99% of the time. I know the babies whant better odds than that. If its not 100% I win because i only do bh missions because im a loot **edit** they dont want it.
I've been using my 2 days off to test just that Cron. I have hunted almost nonstop to test this for the BH's of SHadowfire.
Yes, there is an initial shock due to the change in AI and damage output by the marks. After that steeles, there is the realization that these guys are one helluva lot harder than they used to be/should be.
I have, through tactics and sharp thinking been able to take most of the marks I have encountered. This doesn't mean that the BH's that haven't are bad players or "noobs", it just that I use a different tactic than they do.
As for calling them "babies", I think it's disrespectful as hell brother. These may be people that find their enjoyment in SWG from hunting NPC marks, whether it's because they simply like to roleplay a BH and write about NPC mark hunts, or because they dislike PvP. Whatever the case, and depending on their fighting style; the content that they enjoy has become "tainted" by new system changes. Don't make yourself look bad by assuming that ALL NPC hunters are loot whores.
This isn't a flame, just a bit of a different perspective on what I think might be a bit of a narrow view of the statements being made in the regard to NPC hunters.
You are correct i should not be calling anyone a baby or loot **edit**. Im just aggravated because most of the bounty hunters we have today are only in it for the loot and nothing else and now that the NPC's are TUFF and they cant be killed AFK they are complaining.
I apologize to anyone i may have offended in my posts

I wish there was a way to distinguish better between the Boss Mob types. I have only come across 7 since the patch and only the one I let get within Melee range has given me any trouble. Yeah a few of them seemed like at first they where healing faster than I could damage them but then the bleeds started sticking and they went down. I know it's supposed to be random but is there a way to increase your odds of getting a boss mark?
I know it's supposed to be random, but I noticed a while back that I seemed to get more bosses while running Gank Assasin Leader and Mercenary General missions. Try those at 30k+ for a while and you're bound to get one of these tough bosses.
I too have noticed that the worst have been Merc Generals ans assassins. Was able to take out General after getting frustrated at being incapped twice. Cost me alot on my gear but did succeed once. Otherwise if i want easier fight i simply take lower paying marks and they seem more in line with what i expected from Pub 24.
My two credits worth![]()
Weapon: 1165 dmg ALR
Food: Bofa, Blob, Spiced Tea, Booster Blue
Buffs: Full Doc Buffs
CA/AA: +25 Healing Eff, +25 Rifle Speed, +16 Rifle Accuracy

Good observations, and thank you for being a voice of reason.
First, your choice of color make reading your well thought out post a nuisence. Can you change the color? You have some VERY valid points which shuold be more comprehensible. ![]()
Ok, the "type2" boss you referecne is _NOT_ a type at all. You can cause any/all NPCs to fall into this "non-existent" dmg output mode. I do it _ALL_ the time on Dathomir. I can repeat it at will. The Nightsisters love me! This is more of a spatial issue relating to a server glitch which fails to compile the correct statistics used in combat calulations.
There's many area where you can repeat this. It also appears to be common in areas where your spatial properties change based upon the elevation more then the planar levels.
A quick test for all of you is the MeatLump camp out of Coronet. There's a small area near the center of the camp where you can force this bug into existence. When it's active you'll notice damage will drop to around 8% or less of the intended damage.
Was fun tanking 20-30 NS all at once having them hit me for 4-9 points of damage, each!!!

i agree completely, i havent even mastered bh and i was surprised when i attacked my mark, first npc i attacked since the pub, emptied my action bar twice and my mind once and nearly got all my health, this was a <name> mark elite i think, it took about 10-20 mins to kill it, and my mark was swimming too, it would stand up shoot me and keep goin, alot of the attacks i normally use were pretty useless against it. but i dont want my marks to be as easy as they previously were. i had a thread earlier trying to say this, it turnd into a fireball of flames :/ my fault for speaking my opinions i guess(also the reason i hadnt killed any marks is because i was up in space enjoying myself)
