Thread: BH's Main Purpose is just a waste

There is no way to say it and risk sounding degrading, sorry. You just need more pratice and better tactics. It's not easy, but there are is a lot of good advice on these fourms.
Master the use of KD and stats. Slow him down, keep him in place, and prevent him from using burst run. Use the burst run food and your own burst run to keop him within your reach and stay out of his. Keep him in combat and keep him healing.
If it's credits your after, stick to NPC's before they nerf the loot again.
Good luck,
You have some good points, but the bottom line issue remains, if the Jedi (fully templated)doesn't want to fight you are not going to get them. Between Cloak;Speed Burst;Force Run and Force Heal, they can pretty much escape at any time (ignoreing the ease of abusing Multi-Vehicles).
The ones that are dropping are AFK or just bored and looking for challange (thus not fleeing). There are a few cases in between, but most Jedi have the ability to prolong battle enough to ensure that they will notdie or can escape if the fight starts to not go thier way.
The exception to this are the MBH / MCM that can use thier Debuffs to immoblize the Jedi and force them to fight rather then flee.
To the original poster:
Bounty Hunter Template is important, Healing is important asthe FoTM isMaster CM or at least 4000 CM, though you can do some crafty things withSTIM drinks and not have to spend the Skill Points on it.
Good luck with your Jedi hunting, it canbe rewarding if you get a mark that understands thisis a game and has a great additute. Some of the bestgame relationships I have are with Jedi that I have killed and Jedi that were my foe in the old days of Protection Squads.
With that, it can be a drag as most Jedi treat this like it is thier actual life and you'll need some thick skin as they will through ever insult at you they can think of, and some that makes you wonder if they think at all.
Good luck!

*cough* anything to do with jedi...FS quests, jedii trials and upcomming SECOND FRS *cough*
The Village, FS Quest, and the FRS have nothing to do with "being a jedi". They may be "content" (hard to beleive I forgot about that, must hate jedi so much I blocked them out of my memory) but not content that is directed at creating an enviroment to "become" a Jedi.
The "village" is just a grinding time sink and theFRS is actually nothing but a glorified PvP ranking system (which is what theJedi profession has becomeanyway).
But you are correct, I forgot about the "Jedi Created Content".
look, a jedi may run, but he's not going to run that far without you knowing where he's heading.
it's all about thinking ahead. IF jedi high tails it, there shouldn't be so much worry as you should have your droids tracking him, as soon as he goes to run, don't run after him jump (or call your swoop) and go after him. even better if on tat etc, watch your tracking perhaps he's runnig to the next town, simple idea if the town behind you exct isn't that far away just dash back to that town and shuttle in to where jedi is heading, may find you load up right next to him.
Another thing to consider is the jedi will rarely run PAST you if he/she is going to bolt. it's going to be AWAY, so therefore to an extent while kiting if you run about remeber this you can to a degree dictate the direction the jedi will run in. Remeber the one running away will be panicking somewhat, and if you have kept your head and your foe is panicking you have won half the fight already. People who panick gamble with good luck, and to be honest it isn't all too often they find that luck waiting for them.
I've catched quite afew jedi who ran recently, they are usually trying to meditate like crazy for when you reappear, if you can find them again and hit them with some powerfull shots they're going to be introuble again.
Saldy yes they can run enough distance away and log, jump into space, and cloak. But think about, if they ran it means you got the upper hand, so you have the choice now of just binding your time, you know what the jedi is capable of, you'll know you are the one who ends up coming out the better for it, they will come on line are become visable again sometime, you can depend upon it, it's just a matter of if you can't wait around long enough for it.
The way I see it any jedi who runs away from me has lost anyway. I may not have got payed, but at the end of the day I wasn't running for my life becuase I was measured in combat and found lacking. There's always the next jedi for money

really? when i unlocked, i must have missed the dailog box that listed all those things. perhaps you could post a screen shot of it? or maybe hte holocron page that you are referenceing?
thanx
keep a crate of swoops, or at least a fwe deeds... if you generate vehicle from teh deed it happens instantly with no 15 second wait
only problem is it gets kinda costly after awhile

either your playing dumb or you really are...I dont think anyone can say that they were unaware of the things that make a jedi just that. its not like you logged on and said well what do you know...they made me a jedi! WOOT! no, you chose it.. weak argument

No wonder BH's are so bitter. They spent all those months, before they could hunt Jedi, hell before there were any Jedi to hunt, without a purpose in the game.

I guess it's all in how you spin it. If I escape a BH, I consider that a win. BH didn't get paid. I didn't lose exp.

it becomes worth it. sounds like you've been unlucky woth your opponents. those that cloak and run are cowards..then again so are the BH's who high-tail it when they start losing. keep at it and eventually you'll have some good battles that will make you glad you became a man-hunter.
Dont confuse running with being cowardly.
I was attacked the other day while helping a group of padawans grind. I was tanking for them. The BH attacked just as the lair was being destroyed, at this point I had avout 10% force left. no way in hell was I going to stand there and fight with almost no force left. I hoped on my swoop and headed for the neared town and waited. When the BH finaly turned up I was more the ready, by this point any advantage the BH had was gone. Fight lasted about 5 mins and only cost my about 15% of my force.

Whatever you need to tell yourself, i say.

Funny. I was thinking pretty much the same thing.

Well unlike most other BH, i'm usually laughing as they run (you?)..i only wonder who is laughing harder -the one fleeing or the one pursuing?
Dunno. Sounds like one of those rare win-win situations. Extremely uncommon in the Jedi/BH dynamic.
